hi arj6321,

please do this:

You may want to print out these instructions for reference, since you will have to restart your computer during the fix.
the fix requires a active internet connection to be successful.

Please download FixWareout from one of these sites:
http://downloads.subratam.org/Fixwareout.exe
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/lonny/Fixwareout.exe

Save it to your desktop and run it. Click Next, then Install, make sure "Run fixit" is checked and click Finish.
The fix will begin; follow the prompts. You will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so. Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.
please post the log and a new hjt log.

shelf life
hi shelflife, thanks for a quick response.

hi arj6321, lets try this: scan with HJT, put a checkmark beside the items below, close all windows and click fix checked. O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{F95A4560-93E7-4EE8-B91A-A2D77E6ED2E9}: NameServer = 218.248.255.145,61.1.96.71 ———————————————————————- other than that 017 line you dont seem to have any other signs of wareout, might be a harmless registry leftover, are you ending up at websites you dont mean to go to? shelf life
Hi shelf life, Yes I was landing up at undesired websites but it doesn't seem to be happening anymore. I also checked with my hardware guy who says that the current 017 entry is reflecting settings for my broadband connection. Thought I'd let u know before fixing that. The problem with unwanted websites seems to have been resolved. Do you think I'm clean now? Greatly appreciate your help. Thanks once again
OK I checked the 017 entry but it keeps coming back.

Here is the fresh HJT Log

hi arj6321,

I also checked with my hardware guy who says that the current 017 entry is reflecting settings for my broadband connection.
Thought I'd let u know before fixing that. The problem with unwanted websites seems to have been resolved.
Do you think I'm clean now?

dont have to fix it now, its new and most likely your isp's DNS servers.
