Funny thing is that it used to bring me to a website, now when it tries the page won't open.

As far as I know everthing else is working fine. My only complaint is that if I leave my pc when I come back there are lots of warnings. A couple times I have had to reset the system because there are just too many.

So, I get this Security Alert about every minute or so. I did a HiJack this and the log follows:

Hello jeane :D

Welcome to Tom Coyote Your system is infected with Smitfraud, lets do this.

Download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri) to your Desktop.
http://siri.urz.free.fr/Fix/SmitfraudFix.zip
Extract all the files to your Destop. A folder named SmitfraudFix will be created on your Desktop.

[external image: Posted Image]

Open the SmitfraudFix folder and double-click smitfraudfix.cmd
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press Enter

[external image: Posted Image]

This program will scan large amounts of files on your computer for known patterns so please be patient while it works. It will create a file named: c:\rapport.txt

We suggest you stop at this point and post a HijackThis log along with the contents of the c:\rapport.txt

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other options until you are asked to do so!
This is the log from Smitfraud, below is the higjack this…

Hello Jeane :D

Smitfraud is the problem, amongst other things, we are going to run a few programs, you may want to print this out as we will be offline for part of the fix.

We need to make sure all hidden files are showing :
  • Click Start.
  • Open My Computer.
  • Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
  • Select the View tab.
  • Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders.
  • Uncheck the Hide file extensions for known types option.
  • Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
  • Click Yes to confirm.
  • Click OK.
Once your system is clean, we suggest that you reverse this to keep critical windows files from accidently being deleted.

Download and install the 30 day trial of AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5 to your desktop.
  • Once you have downloaded AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5, locate the icon on the desktop and double-click it to launch the set up program.

  • Under Reports
  • Select Automatically generate report after every scan

  • make sure to remember where you saved that file, this is important
  • Close AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5

Still in Safemode, look for and delete the following files and folders. Don't be alarmed if there gone, this is just a doublecheck.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\ixt0.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\jnzhduf.dll
