Counterspy detected the Goldun.Fam trojan, even though it says it has deleted it, the trojan keep re appearing. It even re appeared after formating the hard drive. Why i'm puzzled is that i ran counterspy just after i has re installed everything on the pc, and was clean. I did another scan the following day and it detected the trojan again, and in between the 2 scans, i didin't download anything at all.
I hope someone can help me to get rid of this trojan for good!

Welcome to the forum :wavey: I'm not seeing any infection present in your log. Can you post where the trojan is being detected (registry entry, file(s), etc)?
Thanks for having a look at my log. This is the reg entry that comes up as being infected HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\RunMRU
It's confusing coz even thought the log may appear clean at the moment, it's as if it's hiding and waiting for me to tap a certain key then it comes to life. I did a scan after re installing everything on my computer, and was clean and the morning after, scaned again and the trojan was back again, and between the 2 scans, i didn't download anything at all
Copy the text in the following quote box into Notepad:

regedit /e reg.txt "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\RunMRU"
notepad reg.txt

Save it to your desktop as ff.bat

CLOSE NOTEPAD!!!!

NOT "MINIMIZE", CLOSE IT!!!

Now, the ff.bat file on the desktop. A Notepad window will open up.

Please paste it's contents into your next post.
That would mean that the REG key didn't exist…

How can you have an "infected" key that doesn't exist?

Sound's like a "false positive" from Counterspy.

Let's do one more thing.

Download Blacklight Beta from here:
Blacklight Beta

Hit I accept. It will take you to download page.

Download blbeta.exe and save it to the Desktop.

Once saved… double click blbeta.exe to install the program.

Click accept agreement and Click scan

This application may cause a warning from your antivirus. Let it load.

Wait for it to finish.

If it displays any items…don't do anything with them yet. Just hit exit (close)

It will drop a log on Desktop that starts with fsbl….(big number)

Post that log.
:)

Nothing bad there, Ma'am. I'm suggesting it's a "false positive" from Counterspy, and should be ignored, given the lack of evidence of any infection being present. :)
I have just run another scan, and as i thought, the trojan has been detected.
I have a trial version of Super Utilities, and i'm wondering if runing the reg cleaner in that could be causing the problem?
