Attempting to access "http://ofpcug.tripod.com" using Internet Explorer. The ofpcug home page is accessed and starts to open, then as the requested page starts to open it interrupted and redirected to http://vonage.com/1999/ Internet site.

Updated definitions and ran Spybot and Ad-Aware. Cleared all found faults and rebooted - trouble still present. For what it's worth I am also using the latest Norton antivirus which has the latest updates. Also ran virus scan from my computer and also from Symantec's Internet site – no virus or faults found. Here is my Hijackthis log

In advance – Thanks for your help

Noting the number of replies is still at Zero after several days, it looks like this was too tough of a problem for the forum — Thanks any way and the good news is the problem cleared after upgrading to the release version of Internet Explorer 7. Thanks again for those that looked at my post.
Glad you got it fixed

You need to update SunJava.
Updating Java:
Download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 5.0 Update 9.
  • Scroll down to where it says "The J2SE Runtime Environment (JRE) allows end-users to run Java applications".
  • Click the "Download" button to the right.
  • Check the box that says: "Accept License Agreement".
  • Click on the link to download Windows Offline Installation with or without Multi-language and save to your desktop.
  • Close any programs you may have running - especially your web browser.
  • Go to Start > Control Panel double-click on Add/Remove programs and remove all older versions of Java.
  • Check any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE or J2SE) in the name. It should have the [external image: Posted Image] icon next to it.
  • Click the Remove or Change/Remove button.
  • Repeat as many times as necessary to remove each Java versions.
  • Reboot your computer once all Java components are removed.
  • Then from your desktop double-click on jre-1_5_0_09-windowsi586-p.exe to install the newest version.
