The only thing I see that can slow you down is TWO antivirus program running - AVG and Norton.

Uninstall ONE, then reboot.

Things should speed up for you.
:)
I do have 2 anti virus systems but never has had a problem before ,i have had it for two years on computor unless they were running a check at the same time . thanks Ron
Try this:

Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune.
Download - ATF Cleaner»
This program is for XP and Windows 2000 only
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Under Main choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.

Reboot.

Any better?
do not see a change ,i wonder if the warner cable is working on their end,i had called them and they said they did not have any trouble reported ,but i think some time they dont know . Some times it works fine this moring but mostly slow today .did not do this yesterday.
So…. You want to try a few malware programs/scans, or wait a while? Unless you're having pop-ups or re-directs, my money still is on the combination of antivirus programs running. Unless it's your ISP, as you have alluded to.
now its a little better wierd, it comes and goes . i think a will give it the rest of the day and watch and see what its doing i will keep you informed. thanks Micah 6:8 :wavey:
