We're getting endless popup download windows for "WinAntiVirusPro2006", "Sysprotect" and "VIRUS PROTECTION" from www.amaena.com, just to name the main ones. They've completely hijacked our computer big time and making life miserable for us.

I've tried loading Avast anti virus, Pop up stopper, Spybot, Windows Defender, Spyware Doctor, but to no avail.

Please can someone help me fix this with some easy to follow instructions.

Here is my "hijack this" log:

Hi owl4528 Welcome to the TomCoyote Forums My name is mschroe919 and I am going to read your log. I would like to help you So if you would…. Please be patient and I will be back as soon as possible. Thanks mschroe919
Hi owl4528
Welcome back to the TomCoyote Forums.
I looked your log over and here is some things to start with:
Let me suggest you copy and paste these instructions into word pad, and print it out so you can follow the steps in order.
.
First
We need to disable your Windows Defender Real-time Protection as it may interfere with the fixes that we need to make.

Open Windows Defender.
QUOTE
Click on Tools, General Settings.
Scroll down and uncheck Turn on real-time protection (recommended).
After you uncheck this, click on the Save button and close Windows Defender.

After all of the fixes are complete it is very important that you enable Real-time Protection again.

NEXT:

Spyware Doctor's OnGuard protective functionality may interfere with certain HijackThis fixes we need to make. Please follow these instructions to disable it:

To deactivate Spyware Doctor's OnGuard Tools

1. From within Spyware Doctor, click the "OnGuard" button on the left side.
2. Uncheck "Activate OnGuard".

You can enable it once your system is clean.

================================
Please set your system to show all files
Here is how:
* Click Start.
* Open My Computer.
* Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
* Select the View Tab.
* Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders.
* Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
* Click Yes to confirm.
* Click OK.
====================================
Next
Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune.

Download Here:
http://www.atribune.org/ccount/click.php?id=1

This program is for XP and Windows 2000 only
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Under Main choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.
====================================
NEXT:

Close all open windows, close browser and disconnect the internet

Open the HJT program.
Then run HJT
Click the do a system scan and save a log file.

when open put a check by the following:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [PVModule] C:\PROGRA~1\PRINTV~1\pvmodule.exe

Close all windows or browsers except for Hijackthis. Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.

NEXT:

Using Windows Explorer, locate the following files/folders, and delete the folders in RED
C:\WINDOWS\ALCXMNTR.EXE
C:\Program Files\Ultimate Cleaner\App.exe
C:\PROGRAM files\PRINTV~1\pvmodule.exe

NEXT:
Reboot and run HJT again and post a new log.
There will be more to do after I see the new log.
Good luck mschroe919
Hi mschroe919,

Thankyou very much for looking into this.

I've followed out your instructions to the letter and carried out everything fine apart from finding the following file:

C:\Program Files\Ultimate Cleaner\App.exe

The only two programs in this folder are: IeSafe (application) and ucleaner.pkg (PKG file).

I rebooted the machine and got those virus pop ups again! But anyway I'm remember you said there is more to do.

Here is my revised "hijack this" log….

Thanks again, I look forward to hearing from you - owl4528

Hi again, I have follwed the instructions you gave me and if you click on that link you get the AVG program. I have pasted you something from the page I got to: ewido anti-spyware 4.0 has been replaced by AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5 and isn't available for sale and download anymore (under the old name). Instead, please try our new, highly improved version: AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5 Does that make sense?

Hi owl4528
A couple of questions please….
You couldn't delete the folder stated: C:\Program Files\PrintView\printhook030.dll Adware:Adware/UltimateCleaner
Did you see it and it just wouldn't delete.

Also did were you able to find and delete these others?
C:\hp\bin\KillIt.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\uhvjsul.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\unaoakg.dll

Lets try this:

http://www.downloads.subratam.org/KillBox.exe

After downloading it reboot to safe mode and do the following:

Double-click on Killbox.exe to run it. In the "Full Path of File to Delete" box, copy and paste each of the following line. Then click on the button that has the red circle with the X in the middle after you enter each file. It will ask for confimation to backup and delete the file. Click Yes.
"Paste Full Path of File to Delete" box.

C:\Program Files\PrintView\printhook030.dll

I am working on the rest of your log, please do the KillBox and let me know if it goes and if the others are gone.
Don't need another log yet just post back
good luck mschroe919

PS I got to leave for a couple of hours I will look for your answeres and get back late tonight

ALSO

If you didn't do this yet DON"T

[*]Reboot your computer into SafeMode. You can do this by restarting

your computer and continually tapping the F8 key until a menu appears.

While in safe mode Run hijackthis.
Hit None of the above, Click Do a System Scan Only. Put a Check in the box on the left side on these:
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Reminder] "C:\Windows\Creator\Remind_XP.exe

don't It is okay don't delete it.

If you read this before I got back don't look for the C:\recycle\etc………don't delete it

Sometimes viruses and trojans hide from the sign of HijackThis.exe.
Please go to the location of your HijackThis.exe and rename it to analyze.exe, reboot, run it, and post a new log, we will probably see a Vundo infection appear.

Sorry if I seem to be confusing it's just that this is a tough one …we will get it.

I will be looking for the new log.
