Welcome to Tom Coyote . Sorry about the delay in responding but we are as most times just overwhelmed with logs.

Viewpoint itself is not malware but installes without your knowledge or consent and has no purpose, you can remove it in the Add-Remove Programs in the Control Panel

Open HJT Scan Only, close your browser and all open windows, check these and click on Fix Checked.

The rest of your log looks fine  What issues are you having to make you post in a Malware Removal forum???

Post a new log since your originall is a few days old and may have changed
Thank you very much!!! I ran the program because I had been having some problems with the computer crashing or getting stuck. Also, it was running EXTREMELY slow so I was doing a general cleanup. I ran the antivirus, antispyware, registry cleaner and a startup optimizer since it takes forever for my computer to startup. Since I'm no expert, I decided to post the log before erasing any of the files. Thanks again, my computer is running better but gets quite slow at times. Vany :D
Vany, :D Post a new HJT log, things may have changed since your original post. There are a few other scans we can run to dig a little deeper and make sure that you don't have any bad programs running that are not showing up on your log.
This is a log from today. Does it matter if it is from a different user in my computer or is it all the same?
Thanks.

Don't know what you have done since your last log but this computer is infected big time. HJT from any user wil still show us whats running on your computer. Have you upgraded to service pack 2 since you originally posted??

Lets run these tools

Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop
  • Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
  • Click the Scan for Vundo button.
  • Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
  • You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
  • Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
  • When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
  • Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log in a reply to this thread.
Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove. In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button" when VundoFix appears upon rebooting.

Lets do one at a time, post the results from this fix and a new HJT log.
Ken545,

I did try to install service pack 2 but there was an error during installation and the program closed so I thought that it had not installed it. I ran the windows update and installed the recommended updates but I believe was service pack 3 and some other ones.

Anyhow, here is the vundofix log

Things are looking better  We still need to remove this one entry with HJT, you may have to disable Windows Defender first as it may interfere with it.

To disable Real-Time Protection:
  • Go to "Tools" | "General Settings"
  • Scroll down to "Real-time protection >Options"
  • Uncheck "Turn on real-time protection (recommended)"
  • Remember to reactivate this feature when we have finished all our work.

Then remove this entry with HJT

The rest of your log looks fine  How are things running now??
