can you help me here it would be greatly appreciated?
Hi Raymond,

Welcome to TomCoyote Forums. You have a Peper Trojan- hat's a nasty browser hijacker that's tricky to clean up. :( Here's a special tool for the job. Click here: http://home.iprimus.com.au/mbuchan/peperuninst.exe to download the Peper removal tool. Double click on 'uninst.exe', let it run and terminate. YOU MUST BE ONLINE for this to work, and DO NOT block any attempt by the program to connect to the Internet if your firewall asks permission. Reboot when done, and post a fresh log so we can go to the next step in the cleanup.
Could you click here to download CWShredder by Merijn Bellekom and run it, hit 'fix' as opposed to 'scan only'. Reboot when done.

Then click here to download Ad-Aware and install. Before scanning click on "check for updates now" to make sure you have the latest reference file. Then click the gear wheel at the top and check these options:

General> activate these: "Automatically save log-file" and "Automatically quarantine objects prior to removal"

Scanning > activate these: "Scan within archives", "Scan active processes", "Scan registry", "Deep scan registry", "Scan my IE Favorites for banned sites" and "Scan my Hosts file"

Tweaks > Scanning Engine> activate this: "Unload recognized processes during scanning."

Tweaks > Cleaning Engine: activate these: "Automatically try to unregister objects prior to deletion" and "Let Windows remove files in use after reboot."

Click "Proceed" to save your settings, then click "Start", make sure "Activate in-depth scan" is ticked green then scan your system. When the scan is finished, the screen will tell you if anything has been found, click "Next". The bad files will be listed, right click the pane and click "Select all objects" - this will put a check mark in the box at the side, click "Next" again and click "OK" at the prompt "# objects will be removed. Continue?".

Reboot when done, rescan with HJT and post a new log here so that any remnants can be removed manually.
tHANKS FOR YOUR HELP DAEMON, I HOPE IT WORKS.

Hi Raymond,

When you ran CWShredder, did you UPDATE it before using it? The latest version is 1.57.0, which came out quite recently. The reason I ask is that your log still shows some CoolWebSearch entries, and there have been some new and very nasty variants of the CoolWebSearch lately. Please follow this link: http://tools.zerosrealm.com/startchmfix.exe and download a special tool. Run it and extract the folder to the desktop.

After it's extracted open the folder, BE SURE ALL WINDOWS ARE CLOSED EXCEPT THE ONE IT'S RUNNING IN and double-click on fix.bat.

Only run it ONCE or you will lose the backups it makes, although they shouldn't be needed. This is just to be safe. Now reboot you computer and post a fresh HijackThis log.
Please stick to the same thread otherwise we won't know when you have replied - click ADD REPLY.

Click here to download the PeperFix tool, save it to your desktop, doubleclick on it, click 'Find and Fix' and reboot if prompted.

Click here to download TheKillbox by Option^Explicit. Extract it from the zip file then double-click on Killbox.exe to run it. Make sure the 'Create backup before deleting file' box is checked. In the 'Paste Full Path of File to Delete' box, copy and paste these entries one by one, clicking 'Kill File' after each one:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\config\services.exe

Click 'Exit' when done.

If you receive a message such as: "Component 'MsComCtl.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid." when trying to run TheKillbox, click here to download and run missingfilesetup.exe. Then try TheKillbox again.

Click File, Open!Submit and you will see a folder bearing the date that you used TheKillbox - zip it up and send to this e-mail address including a link to this thread in the body of the email.

Create a new folder called C:\HijackThis, move the HijackThis.exe file into the new folder and run it from there. This is necessary to ensure you have backups should anything go wrong. Make sure that you have no other browser windows open as this could prevent the fix from working properly. Open HijackThis, scan and when complete, remove the following entries by checking the box to the left and clicking 'fixed checked':
