Please help! computer keeps restarting

HI, i'm at my friends house, her computer keeps restarting itself. can anyone solve this? thanks a lot, here is the hijackthis log:

hi all, this is pretty urgent. sorry if i seem imapatient, but i need to try n help my friends PC, as i saw it before and it's so annoying the way it keeps restarting! thanks for any help, it's really apprichiated……. i need to donate soon lol

it varies. sometimes her PC can stay on for 10 mins - 1 hour, other times (some of the time), it restarts very often, sometimes less than 10 mins.

Have you checked the Power supply / cooling fans and make sure they're working? It really sounds like it's heat related. I'll take a look at the HJT log while you check out the fans.

i checked them and they seemed fine? Couldn't see a problem. There's not even any dust inside. The base unit is very new. thanks for checking the HJT log :)

Other then not have a Anti-Virus program, the only questionable item I see is:

Free AVG.
Click the HERE and Save, Install, Update and run a full scan.


Empty Recycle Bin

Reboot and "copy/paste" a new log file into this thread.
Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment

i'm at my house now and not my friends, but i'll tell her to do all this, so there may be a while before i can show you the results. The PC will probably restart during the scan……i'll get her to reply, thanks LDTate

that's the only thing we've questioned too. i think it needs to be removed. My friend didn't install it and i certainly didn't, so i guess it should be removed. thanks
