Thank you!
Also: ZoneAlarm anti-spyware did not help at all. I'm getting popups for WinAntiVirusPro 2006 and dialog boxes. Also I'm getting popups for "Sports Book". I ran a SmitFraud fix, and it got rid of the red dialog box near the clock, but I'm still having these other problems. When I start windows, I get probably close to 100 dialog boxes saying that "egfrm.exe" has performed an illegal operation. On top of that, I'm having trouble typing text into this forum (hasn't happened anywhere else) - moving to the text search bar while I'm typing …I hope it's an automated process and not remote human intervention…
Hi I'm Angelfire777 and it'll be my pleasure to assist you in your problem. Reasearching Hijackthis logs could take sometime so please, be patient while I research a fix for you. Also, I have to let experts check my fixes first before bringing them to you. Please observe these while we work: 1.) Please stick with this thread until we are finished, do not start a new topic here or start a new thread at other forums. Do not worry, We were trained to help and never give up until we get you all fixed up. 2.) Stop if you have questions!! Never proceed if something is unclear to you. We don't want to start all over again. 3.) Avoid downloading other applications or other anti-spyware programs unless you really need to. 4.) Lastly, please be patient and never lose hope. Sometimes, it will take us several tries and posts to get something done. Sit back tight, I'll be back for you!
Hijackthis needs to be in its own folder:

a.) While in your desktop, Right click in the background > Go to new > Click folder > Name the folder HJT

b.) After creating the folder, find your Hijackthis.exe (it looks like a detonator with some dynamites). Then drag and drop that file to the new folder you created.
==========================
I noticed that you are not running any AntiVirus application. You could get infected immediately after we clean you up. Please download and install ONE of these:

» Avast!
» AVG AntiVirus
» AntiVir
==========================
It is possible that some of the entries are hiding from us, so I suggest you to please rename hijackthis.exe to something like angelfire777.exe

please post the contents of the Qoofix logfile.
==========================
Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop.
  • Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
  • Click the Scan for Vundo button.
  • Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
  • You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
  • Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
  • When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
  • Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log.
Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove.
In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button." when VundoFix appears at reboot.

It looks like it's running pretty smoothly. It took a little longer than usual to boot up, possibly because of Avast but otherwise, no popups, warnings, or weird behavior. Looks pretty good. It seems to be running faster now as well. Do I need to remove anything on Hijackthis?
Make sure Ewido is updated:
  • On the main screen under Your Computer's security.
  • Go to Last Update, click on Update now. (You will need an active internet connection to perform this)
  • Wait until you see the Update succesfull message.
  • Right-click the Ewido Tray Icon and select Exit. Confirm by clicking Yes.
If you are having problems with the updater, you can use this link to manually update ewido.
Ewido manual updates.
Download the Full database to your Desktop or to your usual Download Folder and install it by double clicking the file. Make sure that Ewido is closed before installing the update.
