well, we're having problems with our computer - the mouse keeps moving in a different way from what we do. Half the time we can't find it  Also, it's freezing on us more than what it used to do. Programs are crashing, it's really bizzare that didn't used to happen, so we've run various virus scans to no avail, we constantly do the adware and spybot Search& Destroy and I thought I would try Hijack this, but have no idea what I should be deleting and what I should be keeping  … any suggestions to what we should keep or what else I could try. I like to do photo editing and this can be frustrating with the mouse being so eratic at times. Thanks :weee:
did I mention I thought I was an intermediate user - I have an optical mouse, I do believe I would have tried to clean it otherwise. . . ;) But then, you're not to know that. Any other ideas? PS. I do appreciate you taking the time to help me. Thanks
You haven't adviced anything yet - so yes, problem is still there as I've tried everything I could thing of - adware, spybot and don't know what to delete with Hijackthis. The computer does seem sluggish at times (not always) and the mouse problem is still the same. HELP please.
hi mia vita,

Run hijackthis. Hit None of the above, Click Do a System Scan Only. Put a Check in the box on the left side on these:
these with the possible exception of one arent malware, but they arent needed at start up.

might also download atf cleaner, select all then click empty selected:

http://rds.yahoo.com/_ylt=A0geup8cNhdF7D0A…lick.php%3fid=1

only thing i can think of for the mouse is to uninstall the software via the add/remove programs panel, then reinstall the software. you might also vist the mouse makers website and look for FAQ/troubleshooting/support links.
