Welcome to the forum
I want to check some things before beginning any cleaning operations.
Run Hijack This!.
Click on Open Misc Tools section
To the right of Generate Startuplist log, there are two boxes.
Check them both, then click Generate Startuplist log.
"Copy/paste" the startuplist log into this thread.

Hi Micah,
I actually have two computers with the exact same infection so while waiting for your reply on the one I've continued with my own attempts on the other PC. I had a bit of a breakthrough this morning. As I think I mentioned the two infections that I've not been able to remove have been reported by Ewido as Dropper.Delf and Adware.IEHlpr. It removes Dropper, but fails to remove the IEhlpr. This morning I finally found the location of the IEHlpr dll file that it was failing to remove and was able to change the permissions on the file and remove it while in safe mode. I then rescanned with Ewido while still in safe mode and had no infections. I then rebooted into normal mode and immediately started another Ewdio scan. It's over 50% complete and as yet no IEhlpr infection found. However the Dropper.Delf showed up. So I'll clean those when the scan finishes. But at least I feel like I've made some headway.
The file in question was located in \documents and settings\local user\app data\microsoft\iehelper\IEhelper_5232.dll and had deny policies set for all users of the system. I was able to remove the deny policies and then could manually delete the file using explorer while holding the shift key so as to not have it stored in the rec bin.
BTW, I had previously turned off system restore and used a third party program mentioned in some other thread here to remove all temp files, history, cookies, etc. from the PC.
I really hate this stuff. It just takes too long to get this kind of carp** boxed in and finally removed. But I thought I'd mention the above expreience in case it helps you during the diag of this computer.

Hi Micah,
OK, followed your instructions without any trouble.
After deleting the svchost.exe in the \windows folder I ran Ewido while still in safe mode. It reported no infections.
I then rebooted in normal mode and the first thing I got was teatimer telling me about a registry change releated to svchost.exe that I denied. (probably the wrong thing to do)
I did a hjt report shown below. And another Ewido scan which did find something so it's report is also shown below. I'm then going to shut the machine down until I hear back from you to avoid additional infection.

Disable teatimer:
Right-click on the Teatimer icon in the system tray and exit.
Then do this:
Disable Teatimer
After we have cleaned your system, please be sure to reverse this process, and re-enable Teatimer.
You may want to revise your instructions for disabling teatimer. I followed your instructions exactly. However, when you right-click and exit teatimer, that only disables teatimer until your next reboot. It will reload on startup. To completely disable it you must load Spybot S&D, switch to advanced mode, select immunize screen, and uncheck teatimer. That will prevent it from loading upon reboot. I will repeat your instructions after stopping teatimer from loading on reboot and give you the reports in my next post.
Micah_6:8
"Exiting" was only part of the process.
The "rest of the story" is to be found at the "Disable Teatimer" link I posted.
Are the instructions there incorrect?

lynbor
My bad, I didn't realize that was a link to more instructions.
OK, here is the new log and report.

Hi Micah,
There is a folder c:\!killbox but there is not \logs folder under it. There is one file in \!killbox named IEHelper_5025.dll
I also did a search of the local drive for kb.log which found nothing.
