Thanks in advance for the help!!
That is one sick puppy.
:(

Let's start here.

Download combofix.exe from the link below:

Combofix.exe

Save it to your desktop.

Run it.

When finished, it will produce a log for you.

Post that log in your next reply, along with a new HijackThis! log.

This definitely won't get all the malware, so don't go away….

:)

Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall
WOW!! Thank you for the prompt response.

As requested, here is the combofix log:

Running the Clean

Warning: running option #2 on a non infected computer will remove your Desktop background.

Please print out or copy these instructions/tutorial to Notepad as the internet will not be (while in Safe Mode) available to you at certain points of the removal process. Make sure to work through all the Steps in the exact order in which they are listed below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before moving on with the fixes.

Reboot your computer in Safe Mode.
  • If the computer is running, shut down Windows, and then turn off the power.
  • Wait 30 seconds, and then turn the computer on.
  • Start tapping the F8 key. The Windows Advanced Options Menu appears. If you begin tapping the F8 key too soon, some computers display a "keyboard error" message. To resolve this, restart the computer and try again.
  • Ensure that the Safe Mode option is selected.
  • Press Enter. The computer then begins to start in Safe mode.
  • Login on your usual account.
______________________________

Open the SmitfraudFix Folder, then double-click smitfraudfix.cmd file to start the tool.

[external image: Posted Image]

The tool will also check if wininet.dll is infected. If a clean version is found, you will be prompted to replace wininet.dll. Answer Yes to the question "Replace infected file ?" by typing Y and hit Enter.

A reboot may be needed to finish the cleaning process, if you computer does not restart automatically please do it yourself manually. Reboot in Safe Mode.

The tool will create a log named rapport.txt in the root of your drive, eg: Local Disk C: or partition where your operating system is installed. Please post that log along with all others requested in your next reply.

Then click "Fix checked".

Now,please go to:

Start –> Run

In the box type in services.msc then hit (or click OK)

In the Name column in the next screen look for:

Windows Overlay Components

it.

In the dialogue box that pops up, check in the Path to executable box.

It should say: C:\WINDOWS\qkgcmrf.exe

That's how to be sure you have the right one.

Now, click Stop to stop that rogue process.

In the Startup type box, change it to Disabled.

Click Apply then OK

Close the services.msc window.

Reboot in "safe" mode.

Find and delete:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\cbaax.dll <— file

C:\WINDOWS\g3343587.dll <— file

C:\WINDOWS\2uy.exe <— file

C:\WINDOWS\ms037719907101.exe <— file

C:\WINDOWS\g773251.dll <— file

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\winktu32.dll <— file

C:\WINDOWS\qkgcmrf.exe <— file

Some malware files may be "hidden".
Be sure to show hidden files when looking for these file(s) and/or folder(s).

Reboot in normal mode and "copy/paste" a new log file into this thread.

You'll probably get an error when trying to delete some of these.

Just delete the ones you can, and we'll get the rest next time.

….as you mentioned, there were a number of the items that would not allow me to delete.
I hope you still have combofix on the desktop.

If not, refer to my previous post and re-download it to your desktop.

Download Killbox from here:

Killbox.zip © Option^Explicit

Unzip it, but don't run it yet.

CLOSE ALL WINDOWS (even this one) AND PROGRAMS!!!!

Run Hijack This!
Click "Do a systen scan only".
Then "check" the box to the left of these item(s):

O20 - Winlogon Notify: cbaax - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\cbaax.dll

O20 - Winlogon Notify: h618 - C:\WINDOWS\g773251.dll

O20 - Winlogon Notify: winktu32 - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\winktu32.dll

Then click "Fix checked" and close Hijack This!.

Go to Start –> Run and copy/paste in the following:

"%userprofile%\desktop\combofix.exe" /v cbaax

Then hit or click OK

When combofix is finished, please continue with the rest of this fix.

Copy the file names in the quote box below to the clipboard by highlighting them and pressing
C (hold the key down, then press C):

C:\WINDOWS\g773251.dll
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\winktu32.dll

Run Killbox, click File (in the upper left of Killbox), and choose "Paste from Clipboard".

Click the red dot with the white X in it, in the upper right of Killbox, then click "Yes", and "Yes" again.

After the reboot, "copy/paste" a new log file into this thread. :)
I forgot this.

In Killbox select "Delete on Reboot".

Then click File (in the upper left of Killbox), and choose "Paste from Clipboard"……
