i had my hompage hijacked 1-2 months ago. i thought i fixed it but it has run slow ever sinceand its only getting worse. i also suspect system 32 is currupted but am not sure what to do. i have been having between 3-15 dllhost.exe and dllhost32.exe processes "taking over" and using all of my memory. When i scanned with AVG it also detected trojans. I am not sure wheather it fixed it since the program crashed after discovering them and the scan took an extremely long time(i am trying again). i have already taken the liberty of deleting the "trusted zone" it was creating pop-ups. my roommate suggested a complete sytem restore. if that is the case i wouldnt know where to start. im hoping its not. my comp is a mess. Please help.

This is going to take a few post to fix.

Get a copy of winsockxpfix.exe in case you lose your internet connect during the fix. You just run it and
things should work OK after it reboots your system.

(If you use FireFox or the Opera browser
To keep saved passwords, click No at the prompt.)

It's normal after running ATF cleaner that the PC will be slower to boot the first time or two.

Reboot and "copy/paste" a new HijackThis log file into this thread.

Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.
after doing the fix and rebooting the comp, the comp seems to be runing ok at 1st. as soon as i open the internet broswer i pop up came ask me if i want more information about internet security. Shortly after "http://www.winantivirus.com" a pop up ad for Win Anti Virus Pro keeps coming up. Win antivirus claims to be virus and spyware free LOL.

i also repeatedly recieved an "internet connection error" with a yield sign stating "your reguest connot be completed because the service could not be found or did not respond. the service might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may nee to adjust your network settings".

on the positive side the sound of the hardware sounds alot smoother, (its not perpetually making noise or struggling) its actually quiet.

thank you again

this is what my new log looks like:
