Hey guys,

I became infected with winantivirus pro 2006 last night. It took me 4 hours but I got rid of it and its sister programs. However, the adware is still running and I can't seem to get rid of it. Norton, ad-aware, spybot, trojanhunter, ect… all can't find it. So… here is my hijack-this log.

Thanks in advance

Okay… I ran ewido, ace utilities, norton, and vundofix again. Each one except for vundo found and deleted winfix BUT the dayam thing just redownloads itself. I've even adjusted my firewall but to no avail. :wall: I've tried everything in my knowledge short of combing through the registry to get rid of this pos spyware. I'm about ready to reformat. What do y'all suggest?
Open the HijackThis Folder. Find the file HijackThis.exe, Right Click on the file and Select Rename. Rename Hijackthis.exe to spyware.exe.

Reboot and post a new HJT log.
Thanks for lookin into this. :D

Download L2mfix from one of these two locations:

http://www.atribune.org/downloads/l2mfix.exe
http://www.downloads.subratam.org/l2mfix.exe

Save the file to your desktop and double click l2mfix.exe. Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts, then open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop. Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing enter. This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it into this thread.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!

if you receive, while running option #1, an error similar like: ''C:\windows\system32\cmd.exe
C:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt the system file is not suitable for running ms-dos and microsoft windows applications. choose close to terminate the application.."…then please use option 5 or the web page link in the l2mfix folder to solve this error condition. do not run the fix portion without fixing this first.

Everytime I chose to delete pmnnm.dll my comp would restart and the file would still be there. I did the second part of your instructions but it is still there. There other files don't exist anymore. Otherwise my comp seems to running fine but I'm still getting the highly annoying advert popups.
Close any programs you have open since this step requires a reboot.

From the l2mfix folder on your desktop, double click l2mfix.bat and select option #2 for Run Fix by typing 2 and then pressing enter, then press any key to reboot your computer. After a reboot, your desktop and icons will appear, then disappear (this is normal). L2mfix will continue to scan your computer and when it's finished, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it back into this thread, along with a new hijackthis log.

Note : Once the pc has restarted if a log does not appear or the icons didn't disappear, run the "second.bat" located inside the L2mfix folder.

After the fix portion is done. Please run the option to restore the winlogon defaults (menu option 2) as most of the notify key is missing. After you do that post an option 1 log again.

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other files in the l2mfix folder unless you are asked to do so!
If after the reboot the desktop icons dont dissappear or the log does not pop up then in the l2mfix folder double click the second.bat file to continue with the fix.
winfix is back full force now… grumble.

I also need you to run Option 1.

Double click l2mfix.exe.
