Hello,

I have tried several removal programs including AdAware, Spybot, Norton & Spycatcher and none seem to be able to rid my computer of various Trojans. After reviewing your self-help section I tried to boot up in safe mode but my computer stays on the black screen and won't boot in safe mode for some reason.

Welcome to the forum :wavey:

Download VundoFix.exe to your desktop from here:

VundoFix.exe

CLOSE ALL WINDOWS (even this one) AND PROGRAMS!!!!

1. Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
2. Click the Scan for Vundo button.
3. Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
4. If it doesn't find anything, in the main program window, choose "Add more files?".
Type the next line in the box EXACTLY AS SHOWN:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\ssqrp.dll

Click Close Window, then Remove Vundo.

5. You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES.
6. Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
7. When completed, it will prompt that it will shutdown your computer, click OK.
8. Turn your computer back on.

Post a new HijackThis! log, along with the contents of this file:

C:\vundofix.txt

into this thread.

The computer has been running much better since following your instructions! I will do the next step when I get home and hopefully that will be the end of it. Also, I downloaded Mozilla Firefox and set as default from now on after reading all the problems associated with IE and spyware. Is there a spyware program that you recommend for catching Trojans, etc. that attack through internet connections? or is Firefox sufficient? Thanks again for all your help Micah! :D Justice
