Click here to download System Security Suite. Extract it from the zip file into a folder and doubleclick on sss.exe. Check the boxes under the 'Items to Clear' tab and click 'Clear Selected Items'. You will be prompted to reboot, do so. Repeat for all log-in accounts on your computer.

Rescan with HJT and post a new log.

Thanks for your help.
That's better. With only HJT running, have it fix:

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,HomeOldSP = about:blank

Reboot when done. Then to make sure nothing is lurking, click here and download 'Find-All.zip'. Unzip and run the findall.bat file inside. It'll run for a while and generate a file called output.txt - save this.

Rescan with HJT and post the log along with the 'output.txt' you previously saved.
here is the output.txt

Anothere thing that I thought I should tell you is that after I deleted the stuff from the first hjt scan when I restart my computer note pad opens and this is what it says.:

[.ShellClassInfo]
LocalizedResourceName=@%SystemRoot%\system32\shell32.dll,-21787

It opens every time I restart.

Thanks
Well you have an infection. FAL's approach has been successful - let's try it.

In the Find-All folder, run the 'regsrch.vbs' file and enter this name into the search: ahoibaa.dll and proceed to search. It'll run for a while and generate report as well. From the report menu, select all, copy, name it as 'report.txt' and save it in the same folder.

Immediately when done click Start>run type regedit >OK

Expand this key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects <– right-click that subfolder, Permissions>Advanced and un-check the 'inherit ..permissions' lower box, hit 'ok' and 'remove' on the prompts.

Next, expand this:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\PROTOCOLS\Filter

text/plain
text/html

Right-click them one at a time, and un-check the 'inherit permissions' from security the same way.

When I run the search for " ahoibaa.dll" my norton antivirus pops up a dialog box and says malicious script detected and says that I need to do something about it it reccomends that I stop the script so I do, but if I do that I can't do the search. The file that it says has malicious script is c:\documents and settings\jsr\desktop\find-all\find-all\regsrch.vbs
here is the new hjt log.

OK, that's good, your system is locked down now and the BHO has revealed itself again. Run the 'regsrch.vbs' file and enter this name into the search: kekgobj.dll and proceed to search. It'll run for a while and generate report as well. From the report menu, select all, copy, name it as 'report.txt' and save it and post it here.
here are the results after I searched for "kekgobj.dll" REGEDIT4 ; RegSrch.vbs © Bill James ; Registry search results for string "kekgobj.dll" 5/4/2004 5:28:54 PM ; NOTE: This file will be deleted when you close WordPad. ; You must manually save this file to a new location if you want to refer to it again later. ; (If you save the file with a .reg extension, you can use it to restore any Registry changes you make to these values.)
