Welcome to the forum, you are infected and my first suggestion would be to stay offline except when troubleshooting, these infection wiill attract others.

1) Let's check for Smitfraud first, I see one marker and want to be sure. It needs to be removed first if it is there.

Please download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri)
Extract the content (a folder named SmitfraudFix) to your Desktop.

Open the SmitfraudFix folder and double-click smitfraudfix.cmd
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press "Enter"; a text file will appear, which lists infected files (if present).
Please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.

Note : process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.

Just reviewing the step and I noticed that when i ran Ewido scan i had my Nortons antivirus enabled, should that have been disabled prior to scanning with Ewido? SAtill getting lots of popups.
Thanks for returning your information, sometimes the "Trusted Zone" is very infected, looking at your log I see these items:
O15 - Trusted Zone: http://mysite.canadapost.ca
O15 - Trusted Zone: www.pogo.com
If you trust them to be there, that's a lot of access to your computer, then you did the right thing. Personally, I allow nothing in my "Trusted Zone"
You must know how to use it since you placed those items in it.

To my knowledge Norton antivirus does not cause a problem with ewido.
We have a ways to go, you had a badly infected computer. This item in ewido:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\najjqwqa.exe -> Not-A-Virus.Downloader.Win32.WinFixer.r : Cleaned with backup (quarantined).
Indicates we may have a hidden Vundo infection to deal with also. To unhide it if it is there I would like you to return here:
C:\Hijackthis\HijackThis.exe <<< and rename HijackThis.exe to MyHJt.exe or something like that. If Vundo is there we will see it in the next log.

1) O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [MSConfig] C:\WINDOWS\PCHealth\HelpCtr\Binaries\MSConfig.exe /auto <<< you are running MSConfig in Selective Start up mode?? How can I help you clean it if I can't see it. Return MSConfig to Normal Startup Mode unless I request otherwise. I have no way of knowing what malware you have unchecked.

2) How to make files and folders visible:
Click Start > Open My Computer.
Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
Select the View Tab. Under the Hidden files and folders heading, select Show hidden files and folders.
Uncheck: Hide file extensions for known file types
Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
Click Yes to confirm.
Click OK.

3) Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune
http://www.atribune.org/content/view/25/2/
Save it to your Desktop. We will use this later.

4) Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Search_URL = about:blank
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = about:blank
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = about:blank
R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing
F2 - REG:system.ini: Shell=explorer.exe

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [win32108-106973281] C:\WINDOWS\win32108-106973281.exe
O9 - Extra button: UltimateBet - {94148DB5-B42D-4915-95DA-2CBB4F7095BF} - C:\Program Files\UltimateBet\UltimateBet.exe
O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: UltimateBet - {94148DB5-B42D-4915-95DA-2CBB4F7095BF} - C:\Program Files\UltimateBet\UltimateBet.exe
O16 - DPF: {15AD6789-CDB4-47E1-A9DA-992EE8E6BAD6} - http://static.windupdates.com/cab/MediaAcc…e/bridge-c8.cab

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

5) RIGHT Click on Start then click on Explore. Locate and delete these items:

C:\WINDOWS\Duce6.exe <<< delete that file

C:\WINDOWS\win32108-106973281.exe <<< delete that file

6) Run ATF Cleaner
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
Click the Empty Selected button.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

Restart the computer and post a new HJT log.

Thanks

I need to let you know I may have to fly to Baltimore for a family emergency. I would not have access to a computer. I would like very much to complete this cleanup before that happens, it depends on you getting the logs back to me. If I quit replying, you will know what happened.
Here's the new log and hope all goes well with you and your family.

Thanks but I fear that is not to be :( You can see the junk now, Vundo is a little tricky to get rid of, if you will follow the directions you can kill it. I am going to give you two stages at once, to also clean the stuff showing now in normal mode. Just take your time and be careful with the instructions.

Are you positive these two programs a safe and malware free?
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [WeatherEye] C:\Program Files\TheWeatherNetwork\WeatherEye\WeatherEye
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [UltimateBuddy] C:\Program Files\UltimateBuddy\UltimateBuddy.exe
If not, uninstall them in Add Remove progreams

Thanks to Atribune and any others who helped with this fix.

1) Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop
  • Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
  • Click the Scan for Vundo button.
  • Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
  • You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
  • Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
  • When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
  • Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log in a reply to this thread.
Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove. In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button" when VundoFix appears upon rebooting.

If there is a file VundoFix doesn't find we need it submitted. Please submit
the files to upload malware http://www.uploadmalware.com

2) Make sure hidden files and folders is still enabled.

3) Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

RIGHT Click on Start then click on Explore. Locate and delete these items:

(they may be gone, just don't miss any)

C:\\dfndrff_14.exe <<< delete that file

C:\\kybrdff_14.exe <<< file that file

C:\PROGRAM FILES~1\COMMON~1\qqmz\ <<< delete that folder

C:\WINDOWS\system32\muxex.dll <<< file (should be gone)

C:\WINDOWS\system32\pmkjg.dll <<< file (should be gone)

Run ATF-Cleaner again to be sure. You will run a little slow until Windows repopulates Prefetch. Here is a tutorial for future use: http://forums.security-central.us/showthread.php?t=1925

Post the results of the VundoFix, a new HJT log and any comments you think will help.
All going well, you should be almost out the door :)

Thanks

Let's start with this: O20 - Winlogon Notify: WgaLogon - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\WgaLogon.dll
That is a valid Windows file and needs to be put back. O20 Type Winlogon Notify
Name WgaLogon Path/File WgaLogon.dll Status L Description Windows Genuine Advantage
Open HJT > Open Misc tool section > Backups > check in front of that item and Restore it.

This one: C:\Documents and Settings\user\Desktop\VundoFix.exe as soon as you are sure all is running well, delete that program. Has to be updated often.

You complained about command.exe, if that was regestry items being located by Spybot, it is caused by a poor removal by another program. If that is the case, let me know. You may rename HJT if you wish.

Here is some great information from Tony Klein, Texruss, ChrisRLG and Grinler to help you stay clean and safe online:

ewido is a great program but it does use some resources. Once the trial is over you can update and use the scanner for as long as you wish, but unless you purchase it you should turn it off completely so it does not run unless you start it manually.

System Restore does not know the good files from the bad. In case bad stuff has gotten into your System Restore files, follow the instructions in this link to get clean System Restore files. Turn it off, reboot then turn it back on:

ps kelley, I restored O20 - Winlogon Notify: WgaLogon - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\WgaLogon.dll as you suggested and followed your suggestion for system restore as well. I would like to thank you for your assistance even though you are in the midst of dealing with family issues. My best to you and your family. Richard
