So . . . . S l o w ....

My computer is older. It used to run a lot faster. Now it has gotten to the point where it takes up to 30 seconds just to show a menu when I richt click the desktop. I ran adaware. no threats. spywareblaster found 2 and removed them. ewido found none. If the slowdown isn't due to spyware what else could it be?
