Hi,

My laptop has been attacked. My security suite is "Freedom" by radialpoint. It was poppoing up saying it found a virus and couldn't remove it. The name was some long thing like "w32.secrisk.remover.maximus!" but I couldn't find information in any online virus listings. Then when I ran the spyware tool, Freedom said it found something call "w32.qhost.dm". It said it removed it, but when I reboot and scan again it is still there. I gave up on Freedom and downloaded BitDefender, but it scans and says "no viruses found".

Now it seems this qhost is downloading more trojans and programs, and things are getting worse. Please help - here's my hjt log:

Before I could try your suggestion, my FREEDOM - AntiVirus popped up with a message saying "A virus has been found in D:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DMHJU.EXE This is the same file except it is D:, which does not exist on my laptop. Then, I tried to delete them from C:, but I get a message saying access denied.
Download Killbox from here:

Killbox.zip © Option^Explicit

Unzip it, but don't run it yet.

Copy the file names in the quote box below to the clipboard by highlighting them and pressing
C (hold the key down, then press C):

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CSPQB.EXE
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DMHJU.EXE
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\DMHYJ.EXE

Run Killbox, click File (in the upper left of Killbox), and choose "Paste from Clipboard".

Click the red dot with the white X in it, in the upper right of Killbox, then click "Yes", and "Yes" again.

After the reboot, "copy/paste" a new HijackThis! log file into this thread. :)
I pasted the three file names in, but when I click the red X for deletion, it takes a few seconds and then says "This file could not be deleted". Is the selection "standard file kill" correct?
Let's try it this way.

Copy the file names in the quote box below to the clipboard by highlighting them and pressing
C (hold the key down, then press C):
