Wow, this absolutely sucks. Task manager doesn't work via CTRL+ALT+DEL. My computer is horribly slow. Popups constantly. System32 errors. New programs being downloaded constantly. I ran spybot and ad aware to remove a bunch of stuff. It is a little better now, but I still have major problems.

I just ran the following Highjack this report. Can someone please help me figure this out? Thanks.

Hi I'm Angelfire777 and it'll be my pleasure to assist you in your problem. Reasearching Hijackthis logs could take sometime so please, be patient while I research a fix for you. Also, I have to let experts check my fixes first before bringing them to you. Please observe these while we work: 1.) Please stick with this thread until we are finished, do not start a new topic here or start a new thread at other forums. Do not worry, We were trained to help and never give up until we get you all fixed up. 2.) Stop if you have questions!! Never proceed if something is unclear to you. We don't want to start all over again. 3.) Avoid downloading other applications or other anti-spyware programs unless you really need to. 4.) Lastly, please be patient and never lose hope. Sometimes, it will take us several tries and posts to get something done. Sit back tight, I'll be back for you!
You have been infected by the Troj/Torpig-C Trojan, a dangerous backdoor keylogging trojan.

This type of infection allows hackers to remotely control your computer, steal critical system information and download and execute files without your knowledge.

I would counsel you to disconnect this PC from the Internet immediately. If you do any banking or other financial transactions on the PC or if it should contain any other sensitive information, please get to a known clean computer and change all passwords where applicable, and it would be wise to contact those same financial institutions to apprise them of your situation.

Though the Trojan has been identified and can be killed, because of it's backdoor functionality, your PC is very likely compromised and there is no way to be sure your computer can ever be trusted again. Many experts in the security community believe that once infected with this type of Trojan, the best course of action would be a reformat and reinstall of the OS. Please read these for more information:

How Do I Handle Possible Identify Theft, Internet Fraud and CC Fraud?

When Should I Format, How Should I Reinstall

However, if you do not have the resources to reinstall your computer and would like me to attempt to clean it, I will be happy to do so.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

Please let us know what you have decided to do in your next post.
I would really like someone to help me get the Troj/Torpig-C Trojan off of my computer if possible. I have made a lot of progress since my last post, but I am still having some problems. I have been using Malware Sweeper, Ewido Anti-spyware, Cyberhawk, AVG Free Addition, Highjack This, and Spyware Bot to help me get rid of this mess. The problems that I am still experiencing are as follows: Upon starting up, I get two error messages 1. NewDot~1.dll is not found and 2. WebFolders\ibm00001.exe was unable to open. Cyberhawk keeps warning me about C:\WINDOWS\System32\pmnkj.dll on my computer. I don't know what it is or whether or not I should get rid of it. My background on my desktop doesn't work even if I change it. I still get some popups when I am online. Any help is very much appreciated. Thanks.
It's been quite a while since your last log. If you have decided to clean your computer, then I'll be glad to help you but please do not proceed on your own when we are doing this. Please post a new hijackthis log and we'll sort it out from there
Thanks for offering to help me. I have about given up on this beast! Here is my most recent Hijack This log:

My next step is to go through and delete all the files that you told me to with highjackthis. I will do this and the rest of the steps. Wish me luck!! Thanks again.
oh.. thanks for that atribune.. thought 10 hours was too much.. @nharsh23 yes please continue on.. we'll be waiting for you
Sorry about being so slow getting this done. The VundoFix seriously took about 25 hours to complete. Anyways, I have completed everything you gave me to do. I was unable to find and/or delete the following:

KillandClean
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Folders\ibm00001.exe
C:\wghol.exe
C:\WINDOWS\ms043729181041.exe
C:\WINDOWS\pgsbivf.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\vm7cmapox.dll
C:\WINDOWS\System32\dmypz.exe
ParisM.exe
EXE32EXE.exe
10010.exe
rdgUS2511.exe
C:\Program Files\System Files
C:\Program Files\KillAndClean
C:\WINDOWS\TmF0aGFulEhhenNo

I am still having problems with my background not working, Mcafee not working, not being able to delete Kazaa, and my computer running slow.

After I rebooted my computer, I ran Malware Sweeper and it found a Trojan called Hyborate. I removed it, but I don't know if it is actaully gone because I removed it one other time when I first got the scanner.

I also ran AVG Anti-virus scan and it found a virus called Downloader.Obfuskated which has the filename rdgUS2511.exe.

Here is my newest HJT log. It appears that all of the stuff I tried to have HJT fix is still there.

close ALL browsers and windows/programs that are running, leave only hijackthis running then click "Fix Checked"
==========================
You may want to print out these instructions for reference, since you will have to restart your computer during the fix.

Please download FixWareout from one of these sites:
http://downloads.subratam.org/Fixwareout.exe
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/lonny/Fixwareout.exe

Save it to your desktop and run it. Click Next, then Install, then make sure "Run fixit" is checked and click Finish. The fix will begin; follow the prompts. You will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so. Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.

At the end of the fix, you may need to restart your computer again.
==========================
Now lets check some settings on your system.
(2000/XP) Only
  • In the windows control panel. If you are using Windows XP's Category View, select the Network and Internet Connections category otherwise double click on Network Connections.
  • Then right click on your default connection, usually local area connection for cable and dsl, and left click on properties.
  • Click the Networking tab.
  • Double-click on the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) item and select the radio dial that says Obtain DNS servers automatically
  • Press OK twice to get out of the properties screen and reboot if it asks.
That option might not be avaiable on some systems

Next Go start > run > type cmd and hit OK

type ipconfig /flushdns

then hit enter, type exit hit enter
(that space between g and / is needed)
==========================
Reboot into Safe Mode

You may want to print these instructions here or save them in notepad since you'll work offline

To enter Safe Mode

Click start > turn off computer > Restart > When you hear the computer beep once, begin tapping F8 rapidly > this will bring up a menu > use your keyboard to scroll to safe mode > hit enter

If you need further instructions/help on how to go to safe mode, see THIS
==========================
You may need to see your hidden files first

* Open My Computer.
* Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
* Select the View Tab.
* Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders.

*If you do not have a windows key, double click my computer > click the folders icon

Then navigate to these folders and delete them:

C:\Program Files\Network Monitor
Empty your recycle bin
Reboot
==========================
On your next reply, please include:
  • A Fresh Hijackthis log
  • C:\fixwareout\report.txt
  • A detailed description on how your computer is behaving
I did everything that you told me to. I'm not getting rediculous popups while I'm online and the internet seems to be a little faster. However, starting programs is really slow. My background still doesn't work for my desktop. The screen is white and flashes gray every couple seconds. Really annoying. I went to control panel/ display/background and it is shaded and unavailable for me to change. Other than that, Macfee virus scan still not letting me enable it to do a system scan.

Here is my HJT log and FixWareout Report:
