Hello
found your great website when searching for help on the anaema (sp?) trojan/virus/adware problem.
have taken some steps to get things back under control, but this is what was first happening:
task manager was unavailable.
bearshare (p2p software) was opening on it's own.
IE pop-ups every 20 seconds - this is where i saw the name 'anaema'.
IE homepage reset to 'about:blank'.
seriously hampered performance.
the following files appeared in my c:\ (root directory): dfndrfg_8, kybrdfg_8, nwnmfg_8
have updated and scanned with SpyBot (2 problems found) and AVG Free (almost 900 infections found). In both cased I 'healed' files and wiped them from quarantine/virus vault.
have updated java.
have used ATF cleaner and wiped EVERYTHING.
now performance is better, but still hampered…
am getting pop-ups every 1-2 minutes.
bearshare no longer opens.
task manager is available again but incompletely: the top portion (menus, tabs, etc) is missing and i can only see the info windows, can scroll throught them using ctrl-tab.
dfndrfg_8, kybrdfg_8, nwnmfg_8 were not removed by either AVG or SpyBot, and now that taskmanager is running, i have a process called Project 1 running.
here is the HJT log:

as i was inserting this, AVG popped up to say that two new viruses were found, and I clicked "heal" for both of them - is it better to 'move to vault'? F-Secure is still running, and so far reports 2 viruses found.
Many thanks for any help you can offer; I am fighting with the computer to type this out right now!
