Please help me - I've been infected by some sort of trojan. It is completely chaotic in its nature and causes the mouse to fly all over the place on its own suddenly and open up all sorts of applications, and change various settings! I've tried SpyBot and Spydoctor, as well as AVG, but nothings getting rid of it. Also I have an MW toolbar showing when I go to Add/remove programs which I can't delete, and a couple of gif's/jpeg's in my temporary internet folder I can't delete. Can anyone help me get back in control of my computer?? Many thanks in advance…
…P.S. here is my hijack this log…

Hello LDTate,

Haven't been able to use my internet for a while now as these viruses keep disabling me. Have just run AVG though and it has cleared everything except for four Tibs downloaders. They cause my internet to close with the following window:

'Generic Host Process for Win32 Services has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.'

I would be really grateful if you could shed any light on this. Here is my new log:

Important: Do this before any fix.

Please put your HijackThis in it's own folder, (I create a new folder in C:\ named HJT).
You can do a Right Click on any open area on the desktop, New> Folder, then rename the folder HJT.

Go to where your HijackThis is and Right Click on HijackThis.exe, select Cut, then open the new folder you just created (HJT) Right Click in the folder and select paste.

The reason we do this is Hijackthis creates backup files just in case you'd need to restore one and we'll be cleaning out the temp files.

You need to disable:
SpywareDoctor

Spyware Doctor's OnGuard protective functionality may interfere with certain HijackThis fixes we need to make. Please follow these instructions to disable it:

To deactivate Spyware Doctor's OnGuard Tools

1. From within Spyware Doctor, click the "OnGuard" button on the left side.
2. Uncheck "Activate OnGuard".

You can reenable it once your system is clean.

After the above:

You may want to print out these instructions for reference, since you will have to restart your computer during the fix.

Double-click My Computer.
Click the Tools menu, and then click Folder Options.
Click the View tab.
Clear "Hide file extensions for known file types."
Under the "Hidden files" folder, select "Show hidden files and folders."
Clear "Hide protected operating system files."
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Please do not delete anything unless instructed to.

Run hijackthis. Hit None of the above, Click Do a System Scan Only. Put a Check in the box on the left side on these:

Please download FixWareout from one of these sites:
http://downloads.subratam.org/Fixwareout.exe
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/lonny/Fixwareout.exe

Save it to your desktop and run it. Click Next, then Install, make sure "Run fixit" is checked and click Finish.
The fix will begin; follow the prompts.
You will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so.
Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.

Once the desktop loads a text that will open (report.txt) Please save this file, you'll need to post it with a new HijackThis log.

Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune.
Download - ATF Cleaner»
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Under Main choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.

(If you use FireFox or the Opera browser
To keep saved passwords, click No at the prompt.)

It's normal after running ATF cleaner that the PC will be slower to boot the first time or two

Reboot and "copy/paste" the text file (report.txt) and a new Hijackthis log

Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.
Hello LDTate,

Thanks so much - its such a help to have assistance from someone who knows their stuff.

Have followed your recommended steps…but computer is still presenting problems.

It now comes up with a message whilst I'm connected to the internet saying 'no internet connection is currently available', followed by a window which offers me the option of working offline or trying again. However - I am actually still connected to the internet according to the icon in the bottom right hand corner of the screen, but I cannot actually visit web pages. In fact right now I'm going to have to reboot my computer and get reconnected to the web to be able to hopefully send you this reply - as it has happened just now!

Also the background/uniformity of the desktop changes briefly after this message appears - this was happening before…

Also - I might just add, am now getting the message: 'Win32 has encountered a problem and needs to close. Sorry for any inconvenience', and this is followed again by the problem of the computer showing as connected but unable to visit web pages. For your information when I ran the hijackThis fix earlier, there were a few things that weren't showing - so I was therefore unable to check the boxes as they weren't there. They were: O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{0933C58D-D963-465E-BF2A-86741D0F5CD3}: NameServer = 85.255.116.92 O17 - HKLM\System\CS1\Services\Tcpip\..\{0933C58D-D963-465E-BF2A-86741D0F5CD3}: NameServer = 85.255.116.92 Don't know if this sheds any more light on things - but I thought I'd let you know… Best regards Chris1001

Save it to your desktop as ff.bat

CLOSE ALL WINDOWS (even this one) AND PROGRAMS!!!!

Run Hijack This!
Click "Do a systen scan only".
Then "check" the box to the left of these item(s):

O13 - DefaultPrefix:
O13 - WWW Prefix:
O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{0933C58D-D963-465E-BF2A-86741D0F5CD3}: NameServer = 85.255.116.92 85.255.112.68

Then click "Fix checked".

Now click on Config –> Misc Tools –> Open Process Manager

In the list of processes, find explorer.exe

Click to highlight, then click "Kill Process". OK any prompts.

Your desktop will disappear, but that is normal. It will come back when you reboot.

Now, in HijackThis!, click:

Run –> browse

Browse to your desktop and click ff.bat –> open –> OK

Browse c:\fixwareout click Fixit.bat –> open –> OK

This will start Fixwareout again.

After the reboot, post:

1. The fixwareout report

2. A new HijackThis! log

Into this thread.
Thanks. Have done as requested.

Had to do the whole process twice as I encountered a small - unrelated - problem after the first reboot. So the report.txt I'm sending you is the last of the two.

In fact, the first hijackThis I ran was not showing the two items:

O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{0933C58D-D963-465E-BF2A-86741D0F5CD3}: NameServer = 85.255.116.92 85.255.112.68

But the second time I ran it they were showing and so I could fix them. Anyway, here is requested info:

Reboot and "copy/paste" a new HijackThis log file into this thread.
Trouble is - they keep changing. Now the one you said to fix has dissappeared and these two are back:
