Hi again Micah. I had to change my screenname because of a REALLY messy breakup LOL. I have been getting the "blue screen" memory dump error. The last thing I did was update Mcafee Avir and Firewall. I am not sure of the problem so I ran Hijack this. Does the log look OK to you.

Sorry to hear about your breakup. :( Nothing "bad" in the log. Have you considered doing a system restore back to a point before this started? :unsure: Before you do that, make a new system restore point where you are now, so you can always get back to where you are now.

TY for the suggestion Micah. I figured out it was a mcafee issue. I uninstalled the entire program and reinstalled it . Apparently Ad-aware does not function properly with a lot of avir programs and I had to uninstall it. Is there another malware removal tool that can properly work with most Avir programs?

If you can't have AdAware and McAfee on the same machine, this is the first I've heard about it? :scratch: What makes you believe AdAware is "the problem" on your machine? :unsure:

Hi again Micah. The new mcafee internet suite avir scan said it was incompatible with Ad-aware lavasoft. Also, another antivirus program (the same company that created window washer) also said ad-aware is incompatible. Is there anyway to verify if adaware is not compatible with any other avir programs? Oliver

will do Micah. TY again :) With all the new "improvements" to avir programs I have no doubt that many of these so called improvements are designed to increase the reliance to expensive antivirus programs and the other software that comes with them. Unfortunately it is all about big corporate money most of the times. I have a feeling ad-aware is only "incompatible" because mcafee realized it was taking away their business with their crappy privacy and spamware programs that cost $$$$, so they decided to make ad-aware incompatible with their latest "upgrade". At least it is free for another year. Then I will go to a different avir/firewall program:)
