This major problem is just starting now I updated and ran every Spy.Trogan, Virus program I got nothing taking this off ..I been having trouble with 017- HKLM\system\CCS\Services\Tcpip …..keep trying to come on every few week's but i high jack it off and everything be fine for a while…I know this sound crazy but everytime i get a major unwanted junk on this computer my tower will make a humming noise, i checked all fan's and everything is ok but noise coming from sealed box with on and off switch included within. What with the new 020-Winlogon Notify:WgaLogon??? Is this really a new update from Microsoft or is it a unwanted highjacker

I notice something very strange just now I didn't have 017-Tcpip on this when I ran this High-jack scan for you now I see it has came back now??? and now while Iam typing this too you everything is getting slow, not wanting to work, small but getting louder humming noise…Far as I know I have no dealing's whatsoever with that 017 Tcpip Arizona Company…All I can say is HELP!!!! :)
Hello mac79,

Who is your ISP? I would contact your ISP and ask them about the addresses:
[removed] [removed]
Ask them if they have connections with Global Crossing.

Next please do the following:

STEP 1.
======
WinPFind
Please Download the following tools to assist us in removing this infection! Download WinPFind from http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/winpfind.php
  • Right Click the Zip Folder and Select Extract All
  • Extract it somewhere you will remember like the Desktop
  • Don’t do anything with it yet!
Reboot.
When the machine first starts again it will generally list some equipment that is installed in your machine, amount of memory, hard drives installed etc. At this point you should gently tap the F8 key repeatedly until you are presented with a Windows XP Advanced Options menu.
Select the option for Safe Mode using the arrow keys.
Then press enter on your keyboard to boot into Safe Mode

  • Doubleclick WinPFind.exe
  • Click on Configure Scan Options.
  • Remove all the checkmarks under Folder Options on the left side by clicking the button Remove All, uncheck Run Addon's and click Apply.
  • Click Start Scan
It will scan the entire System, so please be patient! This scan may take awhile
Once the Scan is Complete
  • Reboot your computer into normal mode.
  • Go to the WinPFind folder
  • Locate WinPFind.txt
  • Copy the results from the WinPFind.txt file and post the results in your next reply.

Please let me know what your ISP told you.
Susan:: I talked to ISP about [removed]—-[removed]—-Global Crossing from AZ ….They have no dealing whatsoever with this bunch..So I think you can just about say this is a some type of a attack..If it's from this company or someone high-jacked into there system I don't know….Iam having major problem's right now on with my WinPFind download in safe mode and I don't know when or how long this going to take..( Embarrassing choped off 1/3 of right side of page on safe mode) Nothing on this computer is wanting to act right. I put this up so you and other's can watch out for this…As soon as I can get this download to work I post it for you…OK :)
Let's disable some applications before using hijackthis and see if that will help.

Disable Trojan Hunter Guard:
Please disable Trojan Hunter Guard, as it may interfere with the fix.
To disable Trojan Hunter Guard:
  • Go to TrojanHunter Guard in the lower right corner of your screen. It is a light blue icon with a magnifying glass that can be difficult to see but the handle is red.
  • Right click it and select settings. Uncheck "Load at startup" and "Enabled"
Once your log is clean you can re-enable Trojan Hunter Guard.

Disable Ewido:
Please disable Ewido, as it may interfere with the fix.
To disable Ewido:
From the system tray:
  • Right-click the system tray icon and uncheck real time protection.
    or From within Ewido -
  • Under 'Your security status', if the real time protection is active, deactivate it by clicking 'real time protection' until the status says 'inactive'.
Once your log is clean you can re-enable Ewido.
The following explains how to remove items from your computer that are malware. These items must be fixed!

Scan with HijackThis. Place a check against each of the following:
    O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{AD689BF6-A10B-4E80-AD7C-31A0C8B83692}: NameServer = 146.82.208.3 146.82.208.2
Close all windows or browsers except for Hijackthis. Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.

Susan:: This print-out will I think will look complete different..I worked all day trying to get WinPFind to work on my system's safe mode I tryed everything except shaking it upside down trying to get it to work, it will load perfect on my plain mode but everytime I try it on safe mode it would cut off the 1/3 of the right side where you couldn't work the control's..While doing this I had to use system restore couple time's to clean up what I messed up trying to get it to work so iam clear back in time before i had Ewido downloaded on this system…I high-jacked 017 Tcpip off and posted you a new log like you asked for and before that I took care of Trogan Hunter it's disabled now too.
Go ahead and re-enable Trojan Hunter again.

STEP 1.
======
Silent Runners

Download Silentrunners.zip from here and unzip it a new folder on your desktop.
  • Run the SilentRunners.vbs file.
  • You will receive a prompt: "Do you want to skip supplementary searches?" - click NO
  • If your antivirus has a script blocker, you will get a warning asking if you want to allow SilentRunners.vbs to run.
  • This script is not malicious so please allow it.
  • A text file will appear in the folder - it's not done, let it run (it won't appear to be doing anything!)
  • Once the "All Done!" prompt flashes up, open the text file and copy & paste it in your next reply.
MWAV Scan
Please download MWAV to a convenient location.
This scan only produces a report, it doesn't clean your system. I will analyze the report and recommend a course of action depending on the results.
This scan might take around 3+ hours to finish when set to scan everything.

Double-click on mwav.exe.
Put a check next to the below items before scanning:
  • Memory
  • Startup Folders
  • Drive - All Local Drives
  • Folder - then click "browse" to change the directory to C: (default is C:\Windows)
  • Registry
  • System Folders
  • Services
  • Include Sub-Directory
  • Scan All Files
Please make sure ALL of these are checked, then press the Scan button. This typically will take hours to complete.

**NOTE*** Sometimes MWav will pause and it appears to be finished, but it isn't done. Just let it run until it says it's complete.

On the bottom portion of the window, you will see the lower panel where MWav is listing "infected items", please highlight everything in that lower panel and copy them by holding CTRL + C then paste it here. The whole log will be extremely BIG so there is no way to post the log. I just need the infected items list.
Susan:I like to never got them to download but I finally got both silent runner's, and MAVA downloaded but both will not let me copy or paste nothing to put up on here and both are acting strange,,Iam thinking by the time I get these downloaded and all the stop and go with this very slow dial-up system I got they are getting corrupt..Iam downloading at the great speed of 2.1-2.2 kp/sec..All I got is MAVA posted I must buy there product to fix the problem…After downloading and running MAVA my Trogan Hunter picked up a trojan..Trogan Spy Delf.211 and sayed they took it off but I need to update and run a complete scan..
Hi Mac79, I am very interested in the results from MWAV. Can't you just close the pop-up window saying that you must buy it to remove the items and let the MWAV scan run? I just need the listing of the infected items. I know it does take awhile for these scans especially with dial-up. Please let me know.

Susan:: Above came from MWAV note book log that's all that will post for me I don't think you want all of that long page… I don't care about putting the time into trying to get posted what you want Iam more than glad to do it!! No Problem…My problem is I just can't get some of these program's to copy and paste a post for you,, they just will not let me copy and paste them after many and many different try's to get them to work they just will not work for me…..That's what I was trying to explain to you about my very slow dial-up system and that's the only system we got where I live, I allway's have major problem's downloading any thing big and get it will work right unless it's very small.. It's not uncommon to get my ISP drop from phone line's 5 to 10 time's in 1 download..Yes I live way back in a rural area they just changed a telephone pole on my property from 1921 guy told me they going to take it to the main headquarter's it's oldest pole he or anybody else ever seen so we are not high up on the list of fancy improvement's..I don't know what iam going to do I can't post much at all to help you out, so you can help me out…??? Sad deal any idea's ????
Are you still experiencing the problems other than with the ISP and lines? The 017 was gone in your last posted hijackthis log. Is it still gone?
017–Tcpip will still find it's way back to my computer atleast 1 or more time's daily…What I been doing is keep taking it off with High-Jack This,, I understand that a very slow ISP is 1 of my major problem's but I sure can tell the difference right when 017–Tcpip find's it way back to my computer,,Slow, search don't want to work. ect. I was hoping to catch this problem early so I wouldn't have so much problem's …I thought about blocking it with my firewall but all I got is Window's firewall and that type will not block item's..I might have to wait until someone else has the same problem..There's not much you can do to help me without a fresh tech. post from my computer..and my computer is sure not helping us out on that:)..I sure do Thank You. Iam open to any more idea's you might have..
I am wondering if the 017 will come back because this last time you disabled TH and ewido first before deleting it. We have had problems with deleting entries and the entries reappearing because anti-spyware applications will not allow them to be fixed. Has the 017 come back since you fixed it the last time?
It's came back everyday I just keep delete it . so i could try to get some work done on this computer..I put Ewido back on after 3 try's last night it found 24 malware..Logfile of HijackThis v1.99.1
