My first time to this site and I am sorry if I am going about this the wrong way. I read a posting about SpyAxe and this does sound like my problem. I have Norton Antivirus and Norton Internet Security and all scans have not fixed the problem. On to the problem, tons of pop ups (porn, on-line casino ads and your computer has been infected ads designed to look like a Microsoft window), and also a little yellow triangle with a exclamation point that has attached itself in the tray next to the clock in the bottom right corner. This triangle icon every 2 - 5 seconds has a balloon that pops up and says,"System Alert: Spyware Detected System has detected 4 active spyware applications that may cause your computer to crash and restart, slow it to a crawl and even shut down it entirely. Click the icon to get rid of unwanted spyware." Needless to say when I have clicked the icon its and ad for software, and not always the same ad. I have contacted Norton and they are clueless!!!! I did run hijackthis and do have a log I will paste it below. Please help, I have tried for 4 days to fix this and am at my wits end!!!! Thank you in advance for your reply. Happygirl

This program will scan large amounts of files on your computer for known patterns so please be patient while it works. It will create a file named:
c:\rapport.txt
IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other options until you are asked to do so!
Note : process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.
This is the C:\rapport.txt. Again Thank you in advance for your help!!!!!

Save the file to your desktop and double click l2mfix.exe. Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts, then open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop. Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing enter. This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it into this thread.
IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!
if you receive, while running option #1, an error similar like: ''C:\windows\system32\cmd.exe
C:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt the system file is not suitable for running ms-dos and microsoft windows applications. choose close to terminate the application.."…then please use option 5 or the web page link in the l2mfix folder to solve this error condition. do not run the fix portion without fixing this first.
Next, launch Notepad (Start>All Programs>Accessories), and copy/paste all the BOLD REGEDIT below to it. Don't forget to include REGEDIT4.
Save in: Desktop
