Strange Malware Behavior - Vundo?

I got a little clicky a few days ago and accidentally got myself infected with what appears to be a myriad of malware. I've gone through the SmitFraudFix and whatnot and it seems to have worked on that annoying WinAntiVirus2006 / etc stuff but I'm still getting strange behavior:

1. I keep getting a message from Windows firewall that a program such as "win1C1.tmp.exe" is trying to access the internet (I block it, of course)… but I get a bunch of them win1B1 win2A, etc.
2. My anti-virus scanner also picks up these files as a virus of type "Adialer.E87" and tries to quarantine them
3. I get these strange web browser pop-ups sometimes when I exit IE… it says something like "thanks for visiting our sponsors"… I'm trying to attach the image but am having a hard time.

So anyway, I ran HijackThis and output a log (I even renamed the EXE)… it's as follows:

VundoFix by Atri
Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop.

http://www.atribune.org/ccount/click.php?id=4

* Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
* Put a check next to Run VundoFix as a task.
* You will receive a message saying vundofix will close and re-open in a minute or less. Click OK
* When VundoFix re-opens, click the Scan for Vundo button.
* Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
* You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
* Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
* When completed, it will prompt that it will shutdown your computer, click OK.
* Turn your computer back on.
* Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt.

scan with HJT, put a checkmark beside the items below, close all windows and click fix checked.

Thanks for the help. Ran VundoFix - it didn't detect anything. I removed the entries from Hijack This and ran a scan using ewido anti-spyware, which picked up two critical pieces of spyware (including the dialer) and removed them. I'll post my logs in a bit (the scan is still running) but I think I might be good.

Here is the HJT log… I am still (unfortunately) seeing the "dialer" virus boxes pop up (both from my antivirus and the firewall) pretty often and it appears a site called "togo" has hijacked my browser so that when I type in a bad website, I go to their site.

Any more ideas?

hi stydie, first disable ewidos guard and defenders real time protection so they wont interfere with the "fix" for ewido, exit the icon by clock if present for defender, i think its the same, click on icon to disable/exit lets try this. run hjt and have it fix: O1 - Hosts: 168.251.2.210 ddas0065L O2 - BHO: (no name) - {647AD480-0F37-48D9-B0FE-0DA93F43168A} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\ssqpq.dll O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {DE9C389F-3316-41A7-809B-AA305ED9D922} - (no file) ——————————————————————- restart hjt, "click on open misc tools section" then on "delete a file on reboot". next copy/paste this into the file name window: C:\WINDOWS\system32\ssqpq.dll and click open, it it says it dosnt exsist, copy/paste this next one: if it opens you will be asked to reboot, select no and continue with the next one: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\wincqt32.dll at the prompt to reboot select yes. after the reboot, rescan and post a new hjt log ————————————————- also try this; boot computer into safe mode, run ewido and save the log it generates, post the log in next reply also, no need to post the cookies form the log if you can edit them out. shelf life

FYI, I am still getting a few sets of pop-ups… I'm getting the WinAntiVirus 2006, Sysprotect and another random one that pops up various dating sites and sponsors. Every time I scan with one of the anti-spyware tools, it seems to find and "remove" the threat, but it always comes back. Any ideas?

hi stydie, launch vundofix.exe again and this time check the box: run vundofix as a task, then scan/remove files. if nothing shows up in the scan to remove do this: right click on the blank window to bring up "add more files" copy paste this into the new window: C:\WINDOWS\system32\ssqpq.dll then click add files and close window, then remove Vundo. ——————————— shelf life

That seemed to work… I just re-ran Ewido and it picked up a high-risk piece of malware… Trojan.Agent.ny… "c:\windows\system32\sdfytxkj.exe" Do I have to do anything special to remove this?
