I followed your directions and it did state that it quarantined everything that it found so it is kind of weird that it says no action taken. Thanks so much for all of you help. Its greatly appreciated.

Reboot and post a new HijackThis! log.

How's the PC running?
The laptop is still running pretty slow, especially at the start up. Things seem a little better though. No more unwanted pop ups.

See if you can update Ewido now.

Also, please refer to my instructions 4 and 5 in the Ewido set-up. Be sure they are as posted.

Boot in safe mode and run it again.

Post the log it creates.
:)
Server must be down. :(

On the "up side", your last log looked good.

Delete any of these you can find:

C:\Program Files\winupdate <– FOLDER

C:\WINDOWS\lsojo.exe <– file

C:\WINDOWS\system32\p2pnetworking.exe <– file

C:\Program Files\MsUpdate\MsUpdate.exe <– file

C:\WINDOWS\etb <– FOLDER

C:\WINDOWS\system32\spoolsv32.exe <– file

C:\WINDOWS\system32\dllhost32.exe <– file

BE CERTAIN THE FILES YOU DELETE MATCH THE GIVEN NAMES EXACTLY!!!

Some malware files may be "hidden".
Be sure to show hidden files when looking for these file(s) and/or folder(s).

Please download and run Spybot-Search&Destroy and Ad-Aware; they are the standard programs for finding and cleaning malware off your system. Here are links to both programs, and instructions for their use.

Get Spybot - Search & Destroy from Spybot Search and Destroy
(This is the NEW Version 1.4)
Get AdAware SE Personal from Lavasoft
(This is the NEW Build 1.6)

Download and install these programs if you don't already have them. If you do have them, make sure they are UPDATED AND CONFIGURED AS DESCRIBED here:

Configure Adaware

Configure Spybot

Reboot after running each program.

Let me know if things have improved - or not.
:)
THere are some files still present but are slightly different like dllhost.exe…thats different. Should it still be deleted?
NO.

That's precisely why I said:

BE CERTAIN THE FILES YOU DELETE MATCH THE GIVEN NAMES EXACTLY!!!

If it doesn't match the name I gave EXACTLY, then please leave it alone.
