Here's is my Hijack this log. My computer is almost clean. When I load internet exploder I still get the random popups.

I ran Ewido as well and it found a bunch of tracking cookies and a couple of viruses but I didn't realize the program doesn't autosave a logfile.

Hello and welcome to the forums

* Download Combofix to your desktop.
Doubleclick combo.exe
Follow the prompts.
Don't click on the window while the fix is running, because that will cause your system to hang.

When finished, it should produce a log, combofix.txt.
Post this log in your next reply together with a new hijackthislog.

I suggest you do this:

Double-click My Computer.
Click the Tools menu, and then click Folder Options.
Click the View tab.
Clear "Hide file extensions for known file types."
Under the "Hidden files" folder, select "Show hidden files and folders."
Clear "Hide protected operating system files."
Click Apply, and then click OK.


Please do not delete anything unless instructed to.



Run hijackthis. Hit None of the above, Click Do a System Scan Only. Put a Check in the box on the left side on these:

To keep saved passwords, click No at the prompt.)

It's normal after running ATF cleaner that the PC will be slower to boot the first time or two.


Reboot and "copy/paste" a new HijackThis log file into this thread.

Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.

Be sure to keep SunJava, updated

In Add/Remove programs click on these and press *remove* if listed:

Or any other outdated J2SE


It is important to remove older versions as these are the ones with the holes in them. You will be surprised when you go to add/remove to see all of the versions sitting there.

I apologize for the delay in response. The fixes worked perfectly. It was actually for a co-workers computer. I had a bit of trouble with mine over the past week so I haven't been able to post.
