So, I had been scanning and scanning my computer with AdAware and SpyBot until a friend turned me to this site. I really hope that you guys will be able to help me out!

I've been having problems with a program called "ir80l5lm1.dll".

Thank you so much for your time!

Hi Daryl Nicole - We are currently studying your log and will have instructions for you shortly. Thank you for your patience.
Hi,

Please be advised that one of the malware installed on your computer, winlog.exe, is added by the GAOBOT_DF worm which can severely compromise system security.

See, http://www.trendmicro.com/vinfo/virusencyc…EDF&VSect=T

Please be further advised that, in addition to the above, your system is badly infected.

After you have read the link, please let me know if you have opted to reformat your hard drive or to clean your system.
Aw, carp**. Alright, I'm going to go do all of this, but it's probably going to take me a day or two to get back to you. I think I'm going to have someone else in my family that knows more about computers do it for me, so I don't have the possiblity of screwing anything up worse than it already is.
waterfalls will help you do what we can to clean it. We just want you to understand we can't be sure to get it all. Don't change any passwords until you either reformat or waterfalls tells you to  Please read through that whole link.
Hi,

Please be advised that it will take several steps for us to clean your computer. Kindly do the following.

• You are currently running HijackThis from a "Temp" folder. HijackThis makes backups each time you fix something. If it remains in a Temp folder, the program and the backups may very well be deleted.
Please download the current version from here and save it to a convenient location. This is a self-executing file, so just double-click the file and it will install itself in its own folder in Program Files.

• Please download Look2Me-Destroyer.exe to your desktop.
- Close all windows before continuing.
- Double-click Look2Me-Destroyer.exe to run it.
- Put a check next to Run this program as a task.
- You will receive a message saying Look2Me-Destroyer will close and re-open in approximately 1 minute. Click OK
- When Look2Me-Destroyer re-opens, click the Scan for L2M button, your desktop icons will disappear, this is normal.
- Once it's done scanning, click the Remove L2M button.
- You will receive a Done Scanning message, click OK.
- When completed, you will receive this message: Done removing infected files! Look2Me-Destroyer will now shutdown your computer, click OK.
- Your computer will then shutdown.
- Turn your computer back on.

If you receive a message from your firewall about this program accessing the internet please allow it.

If you receive a runtime error '339' please download MSWINSCK.OCX from the link below and place it in your C:\Windows\System32 Directory.
http://www.ascentive.com/support/new/images/lib/MSWINSCK.OCX

• Post back with the contents of Look2Me-Destroyer.txt and a new HiJackThis log.
Alright, here you go.

Hi,

You will need to print or copy these directions as you will be working in Safe Mode.

• I see that you have Limewire installed. The only version that is deemed to be clear of spyware and malware is Limewire version 4.10.9. If you do not have this version, then I highly recommend that you uninstall the version you have installed.

• I also see that you have BearShare installed. The only version that is deemed to be clear of spyware and malware is BearShare Lite version 5.2.4. If you do not have this version, then I also highly recommend that you uninstall the version you have installed.

• Uninstall the following programs:
- Go to Start -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs
- Select TClock
- Click Remove
- Select ToolBar888
- Click Remove
- Select Limewire (if it not the "clean" version")
- Click Remove
- Select BearShare (if it not the "clean" version")
- Click Remove
- Select the following, one at a time, and click Remove for each one
Oin
Yazzle by Oin
Purityscan by Oin
Snowballwars by Oin
Cowabanga by OIN
or anything similar with Oin in it

- Exit.

If OIN not listed, download and run this uninstaller
http://www.outerinfo.com/OiUninstaller.exe

• Reboot your computer! (Important!)

• Download Brute Force Uninstaller and save it to your Desktop.
- Right-click onto the zipped file and select Extract All and click Next
- In the box where it says "Files will be extracted to this directory, type C:\BFU and click Next
- Go to the newly-created C:\BFU directory
- Start the Brute Force Uninstaller by doubleclicking BFU.exe
- Next to the 'Scriptfile to execute'-window you'll see a small, blue icon
- When you click that icon, a little window will open that says: 'Please enter the full URL to the sript you want to execute'
[See: http://metallica.geekstogo.com/BFUonlinescript.jpg for a picture for reference]
- In the field, copy and paste this URL: http://metallica.geekstogo.com/alcanshorty.bfu
- Click Ok.
- Then click 'Execute".

Note: If nothing happens after pressing the Execute button, this means that the script didn't download. In that case, manually download the script by going to: http://metallica.geekstogo.com/alcanshorty.bfu
- Click File, select 'Save As' and save it in your C:\BFU folder
- Then start BFU.exe again and click the icon of a folder next to the 'Scriptfile to execute'
- Navigate to alconshorty.bfu script you downloaded, select it by clicking onto it
- Click OK and then click 'Execute' in the Brute Force Uninstaller.

*Wait for the complete script execution box to popup and press OK.
*Press exit to terminate the BFU program.

• Now download qoofix.bat (rightclick on this link and choose save as, if using IE save target as)
  • Place qoofix.bat in your C:\BFU\ folder. (Important!)
  • Doubleclick qooFix.bat -> Close all browsers and open windows/folders.
  • Choose option 1 (Qoolfix autofix) and follow the prompts.
  • Please be patient, it will take about five minutes.
  • Your computer will then restart.
• Please set your system to show all files.
- Click Start.
- Open My Computer.
- Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
- Select the View Tab. Under the Hidden files and folders heading, select Show hidden files
and folders.
- Uncheck: Hide file extensions for known file types
- Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
- Click Yes to confirm.
- Click OK.

• Reboot into SAFE MODE.
To get into the Windows XP Safe Mode, restart your computer and, just before Windows starts to load, tap the F8 key a few times. Choose Safe Mode from the menu that will appear and press Enter.

• Start HijackThis, click System Scan Only and place a checkmark next to the following items:

• Reboot into Normal Mode.

• Post back with a new HijackThis log.
I uninstalled LimeWire, but as for BearShare, TClock, ToolBar888… they were not listed on that list of programs to add or remove. I downloaded OiUninstaller and removed the things I needed to succesfully. Do I continue with the rest of the instructions although I couldn't take BearShare, TClock, and ToolBar888 off?
