CLOSE ALL WINDOWS (even this one) AND PROGRAMS!!!!

1. Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
2. Click the Scan for Vundo button.
3. Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
4. You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES.
5. Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
6. When completed, it will prompt that it will shutdown your computer, click OK.
7. Turn your computer back on.

Make/post a new HijackThis! log into this thread

Please open the following file with Notepad:

C:\vundofix.txt

And paste it's contents into your next reply as well.

Download L2mfix from one of these two locations:

Save the file to your desktop and l2mfix.exe. Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts, then open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop.

l2mfix.bat and select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing .

This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2, Notepad will open with a log.

Copy/paste the contents of that log into this thread.


IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other files in the l2mfix folder!

Please do not reboot the machine after posting this log.

If you do reboot between the time you post this log, and I reply with a "fix", please inform me BEFORE attempting the "fix" I will post.

Run Hijack This!
Click "Do a systen scan only".
Then "check" the box to the left of these item(s):

O2 - BHO: IEPlugin Class - {CF7C3CF0-4B15-11D1-ABED-709549C10000} - D:\Program Files\Advanced System Optimizer\IEHelper.dll (file missing)

Then click "Fix checked" and close Hijack This!.

Reboot.

Delete this folder:

D:\!Killbox

Killbox makes copies of things it removes and places them there. You won't be needing anything in that folder.

Rename HijackThis! back to it's original name.

That should do it (unless you're having problems from something not evident in the log).
