Hello and welcome to TomCoyote forum. I remove Smitfraud all of the time and I can tell you it is rare nothing is not left that should be removed manually. While this may not be true in your case, I would look at those logs if you wish. I prefer the results from SmitFraudFix, the ewido scan and a HJT log, but I can usually tell from a HJT log if that is all you have. Your call. Thanks…pskelley TomCoyote forum Expert Member

I don't think any of the tools I mentioned work on ME? I'll take a look at the HJT log for you.

I am not sure I have seen Smitfraud (zlob) on a ME box? Here is what I suggest.

1) Update Java and keep it updated, currently up to: jre1.5.0_07

Not malware but suggested:

2) Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page =
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page =
O9 - Extra button: Poker.com - {6FDD5236-C9F0-49ef-935D-385F5E21991A} - C:\Program Files\Poker.com\poker.exe
(next item is on IE-Spyads restricted list)
O16 - DPF: {FA13A9FA-CA9B-11D2-9780-00104B242EA3} (WildTangent Control) - file://F:\GAMES\WebDriverFullInstall.exe

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

Here is some information, might not all apply to ME but you may benefit from some of it.
Here is some great information from Tony Klein, Texruss, ChrisRLG and Grinler to help you stay clean and safe online:
