Tom Coyote WilsonAs you have so admitted that you are running an illegal copy of Windows, you have an option to pay for it and make it good, uninstall and go to a free version of Linux, or just deal with all the insecurities and problems you now have, TC does not support the use of illegal software

The Microsoft Windows recovery console was first introduced in Microsoft Windows 2000 and is available in all later versions of Windows including Windows XP. This feature enables users to get to a mode that allows them to recover, change, or fix files or settings that may be causing their computer not to boot properly.
First, to get into the Microsoft Windows recovery console you must have a Microsoft Windows CD, if your computer came with another restore or recovery cd it's possible the below steps my not apply to your CD.
http://www2.geek.com/discus/messages/24/6038.html?1112555250
Stuck in safe mode
I fixed it !!! Well, using the Window XP CD disk, you open the recorver console, and use fixboot to add a new option to your boot list. Then restart your computer. You will be able to choose between the 2 option ( the one you added, and Window XP which is is safe mode ). Using the one you added, now you cant start normally. I'm finding a way to delete one of the option since I can start normal now. If I found one, I'll tell you
Just plain and simple–you need the Windows XP CD- not a pirated one that will not work!
Please set your system to show all files; please see here if you're unsure how to do this.
Scan with HijackThis. Place a check against each of the following:
R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {8A7A4C79-A9B1-FF1E-CB47-F6BAAD3A1FB7} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\rxrlw.dll (file missing)

C:\WINDOWS\system32\notepad.dll<=file
Exit Explorer
Empty the recycle bin
reboot.

Could you post(reply) with the complete messages that Norton gives and what is the Yazzle in Add/Remove programs?

I then went to delete the three files you told me. C:\\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\notepad.dll isn't there. Also, it won't let me delete C:\\Documents and Settings\runner\My Documents\assembly\chkdsk. Its weird too because this file has no icon. I have icons on and it is just text in the assembly folder. I checked to see if it was a read-only file but it wasn't. Regardless, I restarted. Upon restarting Ewido immediately detected malware and quarantined them. I then ran the Panda scan and here is the log:

Under control panel I just wanted to take a look at the programs installed on my computer to make sure there weren't any I didn't put on myself and sure enough there were two things. Yazzle by OIN and YazzleAxtiveX by OIN are the two programs. I did a quick search on the web for yazzle and I came across this: http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data…are.yazzle.html. Looking in my registry I did find HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\YAZZLEACTIVEX.YazzleActiveXCtrl.1.
Since Ewido caught those things when I rebooted I decided to run it again. Sorry if I wasn't suppose to do that now. It got some things but also had some errors. Here is the log:

Download L2mfix from one of these two locations:
http://www.atribune.org/downloads/l2mfix.exe
http://www.downloads.subratam.org/l2mfix.exe
You may receive pop-up asking if you will allow script to run when you perform the following instructions. Please allow the script to run.
Save the file to your desktop and double click l2mfix.exe. Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts, then open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop. Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing enter. This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it into this thread.
IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!
If you receive, while running option #1, an error similar like: ''C:\windows\system32\cmd.exe
C:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt the system file is not suitable for running ms-dos and microsoft windows applications. choose close to terminate the application.."…then please use option 5 or the web page link in the l2mfix folder to solve this error condition. do not run the fix portion without fixing this first.
