sorry to bump, but i really desperately need help urgently, seeing i need this for school tomorrow…which is 8 hours away…please, anyone…
Welcome to the forum :wavey:

CLOSE ALL WINDOWS (even this one) AND PROGRAMS!!!!

Run Hijack This!
Click "Do a systen scan only".
Then "check" the box to the left of these item(s):

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {062492AF-392E-479D-BF52-A7A4BCA00307} - C:\WINDOWS\g1851765.dll (file missing)

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Ezthemes_WhenUSaveNow_Installer] C:\Program Files\Ezthemes_WhenUSaveNow_Installer\Ezthemes_WhenUSaveNow_Installer.exe

O20 - Winlogon Notify: winccf32 - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\winccf32.dll

Then click "Fix checked" and close Hijack This!.

Reboot in "safe" mode.

Delete all of the following noted (in red) file(s)/FOLDER(s) you can find:

c:\program files\ezthemes_whenusavenow_installer <— FOLDER

c:\windows\system32\winccf32.dll <— file

Some malware files may be "hidden".
Be sure to show hidden files when looking for these file(s) and/or folder(s).

Reboot in normal mode and "copy/paste" a new HijackThis! log file into this thread. :)
hi again, thanks for replying…i tried deleting the wincff32.dll file, but it comes up with an error saying cant delete cause its write protected or in use…so what do i do now?
We'll probably have to use more agressive methods to remove it.

Please do this:

Rename this file (HijackThis!):

C:\Documents and Settings\61180\Desktop\HijackThis.exe

To:

C:\Documents and Settings\61180\Desktop\noname.exe

Then reboot.

Then post another log file into this thread.

Some current infections "hide" from HijackThis!

This will make them reveal themselves, if present.
:)
thanks for replying again, i've realized that my system runs ALOT slower now, compared to before i was infected. Also, i did another hijack scan before i renamed it, and i found the wincff32.dll file still there, although i remembered i had fixed it earlier. any idea on this? and everytime i reboot my comp up, my antivirus program will notice me of a trojan virus…anyway, heres my updated log.

again, the wincff32.dll file is still there…
The good news is that nothing was hiding.

Disable Microsoft Windows Defender:
We need to disable your Microsoft Windows Defender Real-time Protection as it may interfere with the fixes that we need to make.
  • Open Microsoft Windows Defender. Click Start, Programs, Windows Defender
  • Click on Tools, General Settings.
  • Under Real-time protection options, unselect the Turn on real-time protection check box
  • Click Save
After all of the fixes are complete it is very important that you enable Real-time Protection again.

Download Killbox from here:

Killbox.zip © Option^Explicit

Unzip it, but don't run it yet.

CLOSE ALL WINDOWS (even this one) AND PROGRAMS!!!!

Run Hijack This!
Click "Do a systen scan only".
Then "check" the box to the left of these item(s):

O20 - Winlogon Notify: winccf32 - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\winccf32.dll

Then click "Fix checked" & close Hijack This!

Now, run Killbox.

In Killbox select "Delete on Reboot".

Paste the next line into the "Full Path of File to Delete" text box.

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\winccf32.dll

Click the red dot with the white X in it, in the upper right of Killbox, then click "Yes", and "Yes" again.

When the machine reboots, "copy/paste" a new log file into this thread. :)
updated log file…it says file missing beside the file now…is that a good sign? and i've also notice my system is running faster now…

Also, i just realized that my web browser now links me to www.sysprotection.com, some website, although i put "about:blank" on my internet options, is that another problem?
Fix this:

O20 - Winlogon Notify: winccf32 - winccf32.dll (file missing)

Then reboot.

Also, i just realized that my web browser now links me to www.sysprotection.com, some website, although i put "about:blank" on my internet options, is that another problem?

Could be…

Let's check it out (I don't see that infection in the log…yet)

Running the Clean

Warning: running option #2 on a non infected computer will remove your Desktop background.

Please print out or copy these instructions/tutorial to Notepad as the internet will not be (while in Safe Mode) available to you at certain points of the removal process. Make sure to work through all the Steps in the exact order in which they are listed below. If there's anything that you don't understand, ask your question(s) before moving on with the fixes.

Reboot your computer in Safe Mode.
  • If the computer is running, shut down Windows, and then turn off the power.
  • Wait 30 seconds, and then turn the computer on.
  • Start tapping the F8 key. The Windows Advanced Options Menu appears. If you begin tapping the F8 key too soon, some computers display a "keyboard error" message. To resolve this, restart the computer and try again.
  • Ensure that the Safe Mode option is selected.
  • Press Enter. The computer then begins to start in Safe mode.
  • Login on your usual account.
______________________________

[external image: Posted Image]

The tool will also check if wininet.dll is infected. If a clean version is found, you will be prompted to replace wininet.dll. Answer Yes to the question "Replace infected file ?" by typing Y and hit Enter.

The tool will create a log named rapport.txt in the root of your drive, eg: Local Disk C: or partition where your operating system is installed. Please post that log along with all others requested in your next reply.
