[EnderofDragon]

Someone keeps logging into my AIM account from a seperate location. Changing my password on my laptop stops them, but as soon as I log in from my desktop they have my password again. AOL was no help. Spybot, AdAware, and Defender found nothing. Please help. Log follows:

Nothing in there to suggest a keylogger.

The trouble with Windows firewall is that it doesn't alert you if programs within the system are sending things "out".

It only prevents things (at least some things) from getting "in".

I really don't know anything about wireless networks. I'm sure it's theoretically possible for someone to be intercepting the wireless signal, and using it to get your password. Even if the signal is "scrambled", there's a remote possibility they can "unscramble" it.

We can dig further if you want. I have three more things we can try, the last being a "rootkit" detector.

• Once saved... double click blbeta.exe to install the program.
• Click accept agreement and Click scan
  This app may fire off a warning from antivirus. Let the driver load.
  Wait for it to finish.
• If it displays any items...don't do anything with them yet. Just hit exit (close)
• It will drop a log on Desktop that starts with fsblxxxx(big number)

Please post contents of that log.

I get an error message when trying to run that program. It says that it cannot aquire the privileges it needs either because of my computers settings or a malicious program

Download, unzip and run 'RootkitRevealer' from Sysinternals:
http://www.sysintern...itRevealer.html
Once the program has started, press Scan and let it run.
When the scan is done, use 'File > Save' to place the logfile in a convenient location (such as the desktop). The default filename will be 'RootkitReveal.txt'.

Save your Log File
Copy/Paste the contecnts of that logfile into your next reply

No "rootkit" there. As I stated before, if your PC is just a "satellite" on your wireless network, run HijackThis! on the "hub" of the network (the machine physically "plugged into" the Internet) and let me examine it for infections.
