Hello knowledgable people. Thank you in advance for any help you can provide. I do plan to donate to your site. I have given spybot money before, honest. I first noticed all this carp** after listening to a streaming audio of the Indy500 via the IRL site. I had an explosion of activity after inadvertantly ok'ing a video interview of Danica Patrick from her own official site. (yeah yeah, sue me…at least she's cute) The video didn't play, but my screen looked like it was being invaded by ad windows. It got to around 48 separate windows before I pulled the cable.

I have tried multiple anti-spyware programs such as Ad-AwareSE, SpywareDoctor, TrendMicro, Spybot S&D, and Privx1 along with McAfee antivirus. Between them all, they have cleaned much of my system, but something is still hanging around. I still get multiple pop-up attempts, though I have them blocked. I also get to hear an audio file du jour thanks to some unknown intruder. Today's infomercial was about NSAID pain releivers. = /

The system doesn't seem to be slow except for all the anti-intruder software taking up all my memory, now. I'm about ready to down a bottle of aforementioned NSAIDS(ie Advil) or yank my hard drive from the case and play frisbee. If you guys can help in any way I'd appreciate it and would be happy to return the favor somehow. I built this computer myself(first try) and I really hate to see this happening to it.

Btw, Hi to you Siggyx and thanks for helping. Moving on to Ewido.
OKAY….I have done all as instructed. Following will be the Ewido logfile and the latest HJT log after running Ewido. Thank you to Siggyx for taking time to post. Unfortunately, I still have the problems as stated in my original post, though these steps have, apparently, removed even more stuff.

I am still getting an audio 'infomercial' in my headphones and I hear my browser attempting to block other popups (or maybe multiple attempts by this one). :( I am at a loss. The only other thing I can think to add is that at startup I get two errors. One is an Invalid Program File Name concerning saice.PIF. The other is an Error Loading concerning w30894de.dll. Specified module not found. I am assuming these things were victims of earlier cleaning processes.

If anyone has any further suggestions, I'm open to ideas. Otherwise, I guess I may just go ahead and yank the hard drive and start fresh. :( Here are the newest logs.

If you already have Killbox first ensure it is this version !.

Then double-click on the killbox.exe program.

Do not close killbox, and open notepad, by clicking on Start, then Run, and typing notepad.exe and pressing the OK button.

When notepad is open, copy and paste the following bolded text into the notepad screen. You do this by highlighting each of the below bolded filenames and then pressing Control-C on your keyboard. Then click on the open notepad windows and press Control-V to paste the contents into the notepad.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\VSL05.exe/data0004

C:\WINDOWS\system32\VSL05.exe/data0005

C:\WINDOWS\system32\VSL05.exe

Return to Killbox, go to the File menu and select Paste from Clipboard.

Still in Killbox, click the red-and-white Delete File button. Click Yes at the Delete on Reboot prompt. Click No at the Pending Operations prompt.

If your computer does not restart automatically, please restart it manually

Then reboot and a new log please.
I received no Pending Operations to answer NO to, but all other instructions carried out.

Bleh…I also keep getting 'You are about to view pages over a secure connection' messages about every minute…..and Look2me-Destroyer starts on its own occasionally, too. My system must've been just bursting with this carp**. Thanks again for the help no matter the outcome.

Install it. Once the program is installed, it will open.
It will prompt you to update to the latest definitions, click Yes.
Once the definitions are installed, click Options on the left side.
Click the Sweep Options tab.
Under What to Sweep please put a check next to the following:
Sweep Memory

Please UNCHECK Do not Sweep System Restore Folder.
Click Sweep Now on the left side.
Click the Start button.

Make sure everything has a check next to it, then click the Next button.
It will remove all of the items found.
Click Session Log in the upper right corner, copy everything in that window.
Click the Summary tab and click Finish.
Paste the contents of the session log you copied into your next reply as well as a new hijackthsi log please.
Bleh….I had downloaded the trial version of SpySweeper sometime within the last 1-1.5 years. It says my trial has expired even with the new download. Anything else I can use in its place?
Hate to give up now….so close to being cleaned up….. Anyone have any more ideas in place of SpySweeper? Can't really afford the $30 to buy it right now. At least I'm not getting those annoying audio infomercials now….at least so far. That's a HUGE plus. ;)
Please download Asquared from the link below.

http://www.emsisoft.com/en/software/download/

Safe it to your desktop. Next open and check for updates.

Boot to safe mode (tap f8 while bios loads)

Then scan your system (this will take some time) after the scan is compelte allow it to fix what it has found. If there is something that it can not clean please let me know what it was.

Then reboot and post a new hijackthis log.
