I also have been down that road. I had MRI scan March but I don't see my consultant untill August.
The only problem, this is the second time around. In 1998 I had neck surgery and bone fusion with the bone
taken from my hip. Now the joint below is causing a lot of trouble. GP thinks more surgery is likely.
Tom, if you do require surgery, it's not as bad as it sounds. I went into hospital Monday, disc removed and fusion on Tuesday and home on Saturday.
I will be thinking about you and for Heavens sake don't be worrying, all will be well.
