Reboot in safe mode, instructions here.

Once in safe mode, Click start / then my computer / local disk then follow the process tree.
Or using Windows Explorer, locate the first file right click then select delete.

Delete the following folder(s) listed in bold.

C:\Program Files\MySearch

Still In safe mode click start then my computer, navigate to the C:\Windows\Temp folder.
Open the Temp folder and go to Edit > Select All then Edit > Delete
To delete the entire contents of the Temp folder. Do not delete the folder it self!!

Then navigate to the C:\Documents and Settings\(EVERY USER)\Local Settings\Temp folder.
Open the Temp folder and go to Edit > Select All then Edit > Delete
To delete the entire contents of the Temp folder. Again Do not delete the folder it self!!

Finally go to Control Panel > Internet Options.
On the General tab under "Temporary Internet Files" Click "Delete Files".
Put a check by "Delete Offline Content" and click OK.
Click on the Programs tab then click the "Reset Web Settings" button.
Click Apply then OK.

Rescan with HJT and post a new log here.

Thanks Little Eagle,

After I followed your instructions. I returned the start-up setting to safe and returned the show hidden files back to their orginal settings. I did a re-start and for the first time ever on this computer received a FAT 32 error (?) that said it had to check the disk for stability. That took a while, but once it was up it seems to be running normal.

Still very slow on start-up, but I think that is because I have lots of stuff going on. I've cleanned out my start-up regestry once before line by line Googling each thing to make sure it was needed, but now there seems to be a number of things added, and when I look at my Windows Task Manager it shows like 68 process and it the past it's been like 30-40.

Any advice on the above or the new log below is great appreciated. Can I PayPal donate to you personally or just the site?

Remove and reinstall Spy Sweeper.

Before reinstalling Spy Sweeper. Lets clean up a little.
Spybot S&D lets you kill the 04's, the startups. Start Spybot click mode at the top left,
make sure that advanced mode is checked. Then click on tools on the lower left.
Then system startup, to the right is a double arrow bar click it to expand.
Now clicking on a value you will get a description of the command line. Removing the green
check mark will stop the startup, should you decide that you need or want it back just
replace the check mark. Restarting your PC will complete the change.
Remove the check marks from the ones listed below.

restart was a little faster, but everything else is cruising now. very cool. I haven't removed and reinstall Spy Sweeper yet. Quick question on that. It was a download, if I hit "uninstall" will I need a back up disk of it to reinstall it? Thanks Hank
