HI,

My computer is infected with bloodhound and my Norton Anti-virus cannot clean it up. I have tried other anti-virus software and still face the same problem. A pop up on the right hand bottom corner of my computer tells me that my computer is infected and will slow down the internet. It is alsmots a week now and it is getting worse. When i first noticed the virus, it was picked u the Nortorn Anti-virus as Backdoor.Trojan.

I have the hijackthis log below. Need your help..

This program will scan large amounts of files on your computer for known patterns so please be patient while it works. It will create a file named:
c:\rapport.txt

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other options until you are asked to do so!

Note : process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.

Please post:
C:\rapport.txt

  • Ensure that the Safe Mode option is selected.
  • Press Enter. The computer then begins to start in Safe mode.
  • Login on your usual account.

Please update your Java and post a new HJT log.

Be sure to keep SunJava, updated

In Add/Remove programs click on these and press *remove* if listed:
J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 - 97.99Mb
J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 2 - 143.00Mb
J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 4 - 144.00Mb
J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 5- 151.00Mb
Java 2 Runtime Environment, SE v1.4.2_04 - 130.00Mb
Or any other outdated J2SE

It is important to remove older versions as these are the ones with the holes in them. You will be surprised when you go to add/remove to see all of the versions sitting there.

Download Newest >>>> http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp

Once installed you can test to see that it is in fact installed >>>>

You need to ask your IT support if they know what these are. They could be part of your network / company.

As for the Anti-Virus programs, again you need to ask the IT folks which one they installed.

This is the only bad guy I see leftover.
Open C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\BNDF2.EXE <–Delete this file if found.

Good Job

Log looks good :D
