Hi, as soon at my laptop connects to the internet it starts sending out spam. Using a packet capture tool, one of the subjects is "All products for your health" and "any med for your girl...."

Running different AV / Anti-spam have found and cleaned the cript.o adware, however now it's still sending out spam. Below is the log..

Please download the trial version of Ewido Security Suite here:

http://www.ewido.net/en/

Install it, and update the definitions to the newest files.

Next, please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following:
1) Restart your computer
2) After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
3) Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
4) Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.

Then please run Ewido, and run a full scan. Save the logfile from the scan.

Restart your computer in normal mode and please post a new HijackThis log, as well as the log from the Ewido scan.

Ok, I downloaded the program, ran the updates, but it didn't find anything.(log below) I did notice someting weird in the first hijack log. this entry --> O20 - Winlogon Notify: wpyeqqjx - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\wpyeqqjx.dll. When ever I tried to remove this entry it came back. I then tried to delete that file, it would not let me. I was able to rename the file, but once the PC rebooted another version of it showed up. I then traced where it was loading in the registry, deleted that key, rebooted and the Key came back. What I needed to do was change the permissions on the registry key so that no one but me (not Administrator) could write to it. After that I deleted all sub-keys, but kept the shell in place. After rebooting the DLL did not load I was able to remove it w/ hijackthis. I then had to change the permissions and owner on wpyeqqjx.dll. Once that was done I was able to delete it. After rebooting it looks like none of the infection came back. I connected to the internet and stopped sending out spam. I did a windows update and installed 7 Critical Patches. I also removed the CA antivirus and added AVG free back to the PC.

I also ran VundoFix V4.2.68 after Ewido didn't find anything (log attached)

From what I can tell, it looks clean now, but I'll let you be the judge...
