I have load and scanned adAware, spybot, and ewido. Still everytime i restart my computer i still get the same restrictions. HELP!!!!!

Hello dj_fan, Welcome to the Forum.

There's a new version of HijackThis.

Please delete any HijackThis Folders and Files you have now.


Please download this self extracting file to your My Downloads folder or My Received Files (dependent on your Operating System):

Click the "Save" button.

Navigate to My Documents>Chose My Downloads or My Received Files folder once inside that folder click "Save".

Now go to the folder you saved HijackThis_sfx.exe in.

Double click HijackThis_sfx.exe and select Unzip. When done click "OK".
Close the WinZip self Extractor window.

Open HijackThis and select: Do a system scan and save a log file.

When the scan is finished, Click Edit> Select All> Edit> Copy> and paste its contents here [Add Reply].

I can run adaware, spybot and ewido and then my computer runs fine and I can access all tabs in internet options. Then I restart my computer and I am back to the same thing, when I try to access task manager i am restricted and when i try to access internet options same thing.

Only restrictions I see are these.

Run hijackthis. Hit None of the above, Click Do a System Scan Only. Put a Check in the box on the left side on these:

O6 - HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Restrictions present
O6 - HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control Panel present

Close ALL windows and browsers except HijackThis and click "Fix checked"


Open C:\Windows\Prefetch\ Delete ALL files in this folder.

Under Main choose: Select All

Before I rebooted I had access to everything! When I rebooted my computer would not start on its own I had to push control atl delete and reboot it manually. Once rebooted I now have the same restrictions again.

I think Spy Sweeper is stopping our fix.

1.Click Start > Settings > Control Panel.
2.Next, open Add/Remove Programs and remove if listed:
SpySweeper

Those 06's are still there.

Reboot into Safemode:
Reboot and Immediately begin tapping the F8 key (or F5 on some computers)
Use the arrow keys to highlight Safe Mode and press the Enter key.

This can take a few minutes to get into Safe Mode.

Run hijackthis. Hit None of the above, Click Do a System Scan Only. Put a Check in the box on the left side on these:

O6 - HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Restrictions present
O6 - HKCU\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control Panel present

Close ALL windows and browsers except HijackThis and click "Fix checked"



Reboot and "copy/paste" a new HijackThis log file into this thread.

Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.
