It's still listed in your HJT log.

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [MSN services] conish.exe

Backup your Registry...
- Press "CTRL - ALT - DEL" keys all at the same time to start "Task Manager"
- In the Task Manager window click on "File", then from the drop-down menu select "New Task (Run...)"
- In the "Create New Task" window enter\type "regedit" (without quotes)
- Once Regedit opens click on the FILE menu and select Export
- Save the file as backup. Save the file somewhere you will remember and not delete.
IMPORTANT: make sure to set the export range to ALL

Click "Start"> "Run"> type in Regedit tap Enter Key

Make sure "My Computer" is highlighted

Click "Edit"> "Find"
Type in conish.exe tap Enter Key.
Right Click on the file if found and select "Delete"

Tap the "F3" Key to find the next entry of the file. Continue using the "F3" Key until it's finished searching.

Close Regedit.

Empty Recycle Bin

Reboot and "copy/paste" a new HijackThis log file into this thread.
Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.

While doing registry edit I noticed occurances of "conish" in addition to conish.exe. I also found occurances of eied. Do I need to delete these too or should I only delete conish.exe as per your earlier instruction?

I'd delete those also.

PC seems to be performing the best ever.... ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ I tried sending you a private message but I got an error saying I couldn't. Is it not permissible to send a PM message here? You guys deserve support from us benefiting from your service. I urge those that benefit from your service to make a donation. I sure will do to show my appreciation.

Please note that "R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page = \blank.htm" is still there eventhough I tried to delete it with previous HJT runs. Should I just ignore it?

How about: "O23 - Service: SysEnforce - Unknown owner - C:\PROGRA~1\TRISNA~1\SSI\SYSENF~1.EXE (file missing)"

Those are both OK

Good Job

Log looks good :D

Note: This will remove all previous Restore Points

Turn off System Restore:

On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Restart your computer, turn it back on.

On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Remove the Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Double-click My Computer.
Click the Tools menu, and then click Folder Options.
Click the View tab.
Check "Hide file extensions for known file types."
Under the "Hidden files" folder, Uncheck "Show hidden files and folders."
Check "Hide protected operating system files."
Click Apply, and then click OK.

If you dont have these three programs I would recommend that you get them. Spywareblaster, Spywareguard and IESPY AD. They will add 1000's of sites to your resticted zone and block some hijacks from happening. I also have a FREE FIREWALL and FREE ANTI VIRUS if you need one.

It is critical to have both a firewall and anti virus to protect your system.

Keep your system up to date and run Adaware & Spybot, once a week works, and hopefully you will be ok from here on. Both are available below.

Safe Surfing. :D

I would also suggest you read this:
So how did I get infected in the first place?

DONE. Words can't say enough to thank you for all your kind help and support. I'll be looking at the softwares you recommended. I just ran AVG anti-virus and for the first time no malwares are reported. My PC is re-born again, thanks to you. God bless you
