Hi Thanks all for having a look at this Hijack this log I work at a school and we are having problems on 2 computers which are open for student teachers to use last year one of them abused this right and installed a whole bunch of software on the machines. I believe it may be a type of Lop spyware but am not sure as I have run bot spybot and adaware over the system and these should clear up Lop from what I have read. The symptoms are a tabbed search bar in internet explorer and frequent popup windows when you are surfing the web and a bar that pops up at the bottom of your screen on first loading internet explorer. Running Windows XP Pro SP2. Here is the log from 1 machine thank you all again :) Logfile of HijackThis v1.99.1 Scan saved at 11:04:23 a.m., on 4/04/2006 Platform: Windows XP SP2 (WinNT 5.01.2600) MSIE: Internet Explorer v6.00 SP2 (6.00.2900.2180) Running processes: C:\WINDOWS\System32\smss.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\winlogon.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\services.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\svchost.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\spoolsv.exe C:\Program Files\CA\eTrust Antivirus\InoRpc.exe C:\Program Files\CA\eTrust Antivirus\InoRT.exe C:\Program Files\CA\eTrust Antivirus\InoTask.exe C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\VS7DEBUG\MDM.EXE C:\WINDOWS\Explorer.EXE C:\WINDOWS\system32\igfxtray.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\hkcmd.exe C:\WINDOWS\SOUNDMAN.EXE C:\WINDOWS\ALCWZRD.EXE C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_06\bin\jusched.exe C:\PROGRA~1\CA\ETRUST~1\realmon.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\ctfmon.exe C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe C:\Documents and Settings\ereyn\Desktop\hijackthis\HijackThis.exe C:\PROGRA~1\MOZILL~1\FIREFOX.EXE O2 - BHO: AcroIEHlprObj Class - {06849E9F-C8D7-4D59-B87D-784B7D6BE0B3} - C:\Program Files\Adobe\Acrobat 5.0\Acrobat\ActiveX\AcroIEHelper.ocx O2 - BHO: (no name) - {53707962-6F74-2D53-2644-206D7942484F} - C:\PROGRA~1\SPYBOT~1\SDHelper.dll O2 - BHO: SSVHelper Class - {761497BB-D6F0-462C-B6EB-D4DAF1D92D43} - C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_06\bin\ssv.dll O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [IgfxTray] C:\WINDOWS\system32\igfxtray.exe O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [HotKeysCmds] C:\WINDOWS\system32\hkcmd.exe O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [High Definition Audio Property Page Shortcut] HDAudPropShortcut.exe O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SoundMan] SOUNDMAN.EXE O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AlcWzrd] ALCWZRD.EXE O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Alcmtr] ALCMTR.EXE O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Synchronization Manager] %SystemRoot%\system32\mobsync.exe /logon O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SunJavaUpdateSched] C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_06\bin\jusched.exe O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Realtime Monitor] C:\PROGRA~1\CA\ETRUST~1\realmon.exe -s O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [optionthirdtestmeal] C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Ping tons option third\DRVPING.exe O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [ctfmon.exe] C:\WINDOWS\system32\ctfmon.exe O8 - Extra context menu item: E&xport to Microsoft Excel - res://C:\PROGRA~1\MICROS~2\Office10\EXCEL.EXE/3000 O9 - Extra button: (no name) - {08B0E5C0-4FCB-11CF-AAA5-00401C608501} - C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_06\bin\ssv.dll O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: Sun Java Console - {08B0E5C0-4FCB-11CF-AAA5-00401C608501} - C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_06\bin\ssv.dll O14 - IERESET.INF: START_PAGE_URL=http://www.google.co.nz O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\Parameters: Domain = ST-THOMAS.CO.NZ O17 - HKLM\Software\..\Telephony: DomainName = ST-THOMAS.CO.NZ O17 - HKLM\System\CS1\Services\Tcpip\Parameters: Domain = ST-THOMAS.CO.NZ O20 - Winlogon Notify: igfxcui - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\igfxsrvc.dll O23 - Service: eTrust Antivirus RPC Server (InoRPC) - Computer Associates International, Inc. - C:\Program Files\CA\eTrust Antivirus\InoRpc.exe O23 - Service: eTrust Antivirus Realtime Server (InoRT) - Computer Associates International, Inc. - C:\Program Files\CA\eTrust Antivirus\InoRT.exe O23 - Service: eTrust Antivirus Job Server (InoTask) - Computer Associates International, Inc. - C:\Program Files\CA\eTrust Antivirus\InoTask.exe
