“This is nothing more than a high-tech version of a classic scam,” said Howard Beales, Director of the FTC’s Bureau of Consumer Protection. “The defendants created the problem that they proposed to solve – for a fee. Their pop-up spam wasted computer users’ time and caused them needless frustration.”

I rcommend installing IE-SPYAD and SpywareBlaster and keeping them up to date weekly.

This is indeed good news, but actualy enforcing it on more than three spammers will be difficult. Wasn't someone working on a way to bait these scammers, in somehow finding a way to trace them?

Haven't seen any more about this.
I rcommend installing IE-SPYAD and SpywareBlaster and keeping them up to date weekly.
