I removed the post as you are already being assisted by Little Eagle. I pointed him to your last log. In the future to reply to a helper you need to click on "add reply" at the bottom right of the thread you are being assited in. By starting more than one thread you may get more than 1 helper assisting and we do not have the resources to do that as you can see all the people looking for assistane. Also, the helper may not see your response and loose you in the forum.

Close all programs leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following,

Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.

Please download and run CWShredder here
Make sure that all browser windows are closed with the exception of Cwshredder and choose FIX.

We have found that some of the CWS infections can be removed better from safe mode, rather than normal mode.
To get to safe mode use the F8 key while booting the machine.

Download Hoster by Toadbee at http://www.funkytoad.com/hoster.htm
extract it to your desktop and run it. Click restore original host.


Then post another log.

Looks clean. :thumbup:

One of the best features of Windows XP is the System Restore option,
however if a virus infects a computer with this operating system the virus can be backed up
in the System Restore folder. Therefore, clearing the restore points is necessary after a virus removal.

To reset your restore points, please note that you will need to log into your computer with an account
which has full administrator access. You will know if the account has administrator access because
you will be able to see the System Restore tab. If the tab is missing, you are logged in under a limited account.

1. Turn off System Restore.
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

2. Reboot.

3. Turn ON System Restore.
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
UN-Check *Turn off System Restore*.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Thankyou…my comp ran well all weekend but today it wont stop freezing; Ive run all the spyware programs and nothing seems to be amiss so do you think there might be another problem?

This is a continuation of my last post. I still cant install SP2. When it is supposedly inspecting the current configuration nothing happens and if I click on any icon the mouse freezes.
