Cleaned up some nasty browser hijackers and wanted someone to take a look at my log to see if I got them all and if anything else needs removed.

Thanks a bunch!

Good job  Here is some great information from Tony Klein, Texruss, ChrisRLG and Grinler to help you stay clean and safe online:

I will mention this, ewido is a great program but it does use some resources. Once the trial is over you can update and use the scanner for as long as you wish, but unless you purchase it you should turn it off completely so it does not run unless you start it manually.

Safe surfing…Phil

Thanks…pskelley

Hey, pskelley. Thanks for looking over my log. Glad to hear that I am now free of those pesky browser hijackers. I will check out the links and thanks for the tip about turning off ewido. I wanted to get this box cleaned up before installing SP2. Am I good to go? - Harry
Hi Harry, You are certainly welcome. I will share a little more insformation with you.

I have three compputer and two are Dells. One has SP1 and one OEM SP2. I have never been able to install SP2 on the first Dell. Put it there with no issues, then it started downloading updates, over and over again. I spent 6 hours on with Microsoft Tech April (Nova Scotia) and she finally have to advise me to remove SP2. I have never put it back. In troubleshooting over months with Microsoft, they were never able to resolve the issues. They suggested I reinstall Windows and I may do that one day.

There is more to preparing for the installation than making sure malware is removed:

And of course it is always handy to have the CD. If they are no longer available, you could borrow one from a friend, many folks ordered them.

This may come in handy: The number in US/Canada is 888-SP2-HELP

Hope this helps…Phil
