whenever i try to run a scan on ad-aware, my computer goes to this blue screen and i need to reboot the computer, what should i do?

What error message, if any, do you get when the blue screen appears.
Do you have other processes running when you initiate an Ad-Aware Scan, such that you may be getting locked up with 100% CPU usage and or no System Resources available.

It is also possible that you have a malware infection of a type that attempts to block/interfere with onboard security programs like Ad-Aware.

Try running a couple of online scans and post the results back here to this thread.

http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner
http://www.pandasoft.../activescan.htm

Remember to save the logs from these scans, or write down the information on paper so you can include the information in your next post.
