Programs take a while to open up, so I figured it was spyware. I ran other things, but they never found anything. I'm thinking it might because my fan's dusty or something.

But help would be much appreciated.
Hello and welcome to TomCoyote forum. I can see some clutter and other junk, but nothing major. Keep in mind HJT can not see everything and I would be glad to run some deep scans to look for hidden malware if you wish. Let me point out that maintenance as you suggest can very well play a part, not only overheating caused by dusty fans, but overall maintenance. I will point out what I see and remove some clutter if you agree and give you some links that might help with stuff not related to malware which is certainly not the only think that can slow you down.

1) The first seven (7) lines in the R1/R0 area are all HP search clutter. I suggest you remove them, it will not effect your ability to set any homepage you wish.

2) In C:\ programs\ HJT log, you have notepad open twice. It is rare, but some nasties do infect notepad. Just make sure they are valid programs.

3) Move HJT from the Desktop for safety. I prefer C:\HJT\HijackThis.exe, if you need additional instructions use these: http://russelltexas.com/malware/createhjtfolder.htm

4) Read about this: O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AlcxMonitor] ALCXMNTR.EXE
http://castlecops.com/startuplist-180.html and this:
O4 - Global Startup: hp center.lnk = C:\Program Files\hp center\137903\Program\BackWeb-137903.exe
http://castlecops.com/startuplist-1436.html

5) You are running several programs at startup that you may not need and can start them manually when you do. Look at any O4 - HKCU\..\Run: items that do not deal with security.

This is what I suggest for now:
6) Download, update, configure and run these two programs: http://tomcoyote.org/aawsb.php
The newest version of Ad-aware is 1.06 and Spybot 1.04. Even if you have these programs, use the link to get the newest version, update and configure them as in the link. Run Spybot first, reboot then run Ad-aware. Both programs back up what they remove so delete anything the programs say should be removed.

7) Turn off Microsoft AntiSpyware, it will block HJT.

8) Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

(these are optional, but this is just clutter)

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Search_URL = http://srch-us7.hpwis.com/
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://srch-us7.hpwis.com/
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Page_URL = http://us7.hpwis.com/
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Default_Search_URL = http://srch-us7.hpwis.com/
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://srch-us7.hpwis.com/
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://srch-us7.hpwis.com/
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://us7.hpwis.com/

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

RIGHT Click on Start then click on Explore. Locate and delete these items:
Understand you may not see Prefetch unless you enable hidden files/folder: http://www.xtra.co.nz/help/0,,4155-1916458,00.html
Read the link first, you can remove individual files and a loaded Prefetch will slow you down. I suggest you delete it all and it may be slower for a boot or two until Windows repopulates it with needed files.
C:\Windows\Prefetch\ >>> delete everything in this folder (NOT THE FOLDER)
Prefetch info: http://www.windowsnetworking.com/articles_…refetch-XP.html

I suggest a good cleaning: Download CCleaner from this link: http://www.ccleaner.com/ Review the instructions http://www.ccleaner.com/help/tour1.asp Run CCleaner, Windows & Applications when you run the registry cleaner (Issues) you will be prompted to backup before you can remove stuff, make sure you do. Then restart the computer and post a new HJT log if you feel it is necessary.

Here are other suggestions:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/IE/commun…s/IEtopten.mspx
http://vlaurie.com/computers2/Articles/runbetter.htm
http://www.linkgrinder.com/tutorials/10_Ea…rs_article.html

Let me know how you are running at this point.

Wow, thanks alot! I ran the Deframenting thing a day ago, and that sped up my computer a little, and now that I've done all that you've said, my computer can start up and be ready to use full time in two minutes. Microsoft outlook used to take arounda minute to be ready to use. Now it takes nearly 20 seconds. Thanks alot, again!
Sounds good  good job, here is some great information from Tony Klein, Texruss, ChrisRLG and Grinler to help you stay clean and safe online:
