Sorry, when I right click on the desktop and click propperties,I get a properties box looking for an unavailable html docuement, wich is file://C:\WINDOWS\warnhp.html… Size,created and modified not available. If this helps at all.

Save it to your desktop as fixme.reg

Then, locate fixme.reg on your desktop and it.

You will receive a prompt similar to: "Do you wish to merge the information into the registry?".

Answer 'Yes' and wait for a message to appear similar to "Merged Successfully"

Reboot.

Can you access/change the desktop now?

Thanks. Working now. I did a system restore after getting rid of the spyware,and I'm now back in business. was just about to post that I figured it out. But thank you very much for the help,and if I run into any other problems I'll post,as well as save this if I get any glitches. Thanks again LD Tate!!

Glad you got it fixed :thumbup:

If you dont have these three programs I would recommend that you get them. Spywareblaster, Spywareguard and IESPY AD. They will add 1000's of sites to your resticted zone and block some hijacks from happening. I also have a FREE FIREWALL and FREE ANTI VIRUS if you need one.

It is critical to have both a firewall and anti virus to protect your system.

Keep your system up to date and run Adaware & Spybot, once a week works, and hopefully you will be ok from here on. Both are available below.
